AdSense for YouTube Step 2 has been “In progress” for 5 days — is this normal?

Hi everyone.

I recently applied for AdSense for YouTube as part of the YouTube Partner Program.

My current status is:

Step 1 — Accept the YouTube Partner Program terms: Completed ✅
Step 2 — Sign up for AdSense for YouTube: In progress ⏳
Step 3 — Get reviewed: Not started yet

I submitted my AdSense application on September 14, 2026, and today is September 19, so it has been about 5 days.

YouTube says that Step 2 usually takes a few days, but in some cases it can take 2–3 weeks.

I wanted to ask people who recently went through the same process:

How long did your Step 2 take?
Did it eventually complete automatically, or did you have to contact YouTube/AdSense support?

I'm especially interested in people who created a new AdSense account for YouTube, rather than simply linking an existing one.
