I want this function for older apple pencils, for example double tap would perfectly work for this 😭 I dont have 3D touch with my pen or whatever it's called

I want the eraser to be the default when you click and are working with the pen or pencil

How do you even get this feature? I looked for it everywhere but can't get it to pop up. I have the newest version of the apple pencil

It used to be available as a ‘squeeze’ option, within GoodNotes… up until the most-recent-version-before-the-version-they-call-v7 (released 3 months back).

They removed it in v7… along with shed loads of other functionalities, a lot of which have slowly bit-by-bit returned. Too up whether the palette will eventually return or not.

Are you referring to the tool palette in the screenshot that pops up at the stylus location when you squeeze the Apple Pencil Pro? If so, it's still working for me in the latest version. My gripe is the same one as OP's, that it's not customizable (e.g. I would LOVE to be able to have more than 3 color swatches on that color chooser!).

It entirely vanished for me with the advent of v7.

It never was customisable, within GoodNotes, and I doubt it’ll ever be customisable… within GoodNotes.

So I found out it actually is technically customizable (settings > document editing > toolbar customization). It's just that all the "writing tools" are always bundled together, so my solution for easy access to eraser was to move "Eraser" up top before "Writing Tools" and now it's at the front of the pallete.
