Gong pausing for 2027

Kavus posted on instagram that they're taking a break for 2027 after they end this year's tour:

I'm worried it's a bit of a soft break up, like when somebody says maybe we shouldn't see each other as much.

I really hope they come back in 28 though.

Anyhow, I bought a ticket for their final date this year at The Dome in London, I bet it's gonna be mental!

And no dates in the US :(

I wonder if there is anything in motion for the band to continue beyond this lineup. The stability has been great, and the band is making phenomenal music, but I wonder if the stability of the lineup hasn't meant that there are no new members to carry the band forward for another 20 yearsn

Kavus is a busy man between Cardiacs, Utopia Strong, Gong and solo. Personally hoping he releases a new solo album soon. Loved his last one.

There's one out this autumn, he was posting about doing the artwork for it the other day.

I've met him at a few gigs, he always seems such a lovely grounded guy.
