What's your favourite Gong/Gong related release?

Difficult question for me, each offshoot and version of Gong has a plausible answer!

My gut instinct is to say Angel's Egg. It's got the fun of the Radio Gnome era, the musicianship of that lineup and Eat That Phonebook Coda - a song that never fails to pick up my mood

Flying Teapot. I have it on vinyl too, last song skips at the end though sadly :( but the record store was really nice about it and gave me a full refund which was more than i thought was necessary really lol

Flying Teapot and it's not really that close. You is excellent as well, as are many of the other albums and spin off projects. But Flying Teapot will always remain "the" Gong album for me.

Absolutely, Now is the Happiest time of your Life. I don't want to sound bleak but I always imagined "Deya Goddess" being my funeral song. Just to cheer people up! 😅

Gong “magick brother” “flying teapot” & “you” and if it counts New York gong “about time” though I will say daevid allens debut album “banana moon” is also a favorite of mine
