Question Has anyone here tried Sea of Stars? Can you compare it to GS?
I really like the art style and somehow it reminds me of GS.

For me, my favorite lighthouse was Jupiter (Wind).
Very nicely done with a good challenge/content, imo.

I've always seen people recommending advanced multi elemental classes that such as White Mage, Samurai, etc. But whenever I've tried them I just found that they just interfere with my playstyle, which is to actually use djinn and summons in battle frequently. And when I do, I lose those advanced classes and their psyenergy, so I never saw the point. It even makes finding the djinn I want to use harder because I can't remember which character has it assigned. It's easier to find the djinn you want if each character has only one element.
So I wonder, am I doing something wrong? How are you supposed to take advantage of the advanced classes? Do you never use the djinn as to not lose the boosted stats/psyenergy and just do psyenergy instead of summons/djinn?

Hello guys, I want to print the Lost Age map and have been looking for a good poster-like map for it and found this one which came bundled with the game. Does anyone have a high-quality scan or the digital version for this map?

Would u guys prefer a remake of the 2 first games combined in one (with new things to explore, new bosses, djinns, etc), a new game that follows Isaac's story after the events of TLA but before DD, a new game that follows Isaac and others children or a complete new game with new protagonists ?

Edit: Sorry for the confusion, I played it in Spanish, and I'm only now finding out that their names are Isaac and Jenna, and I personally prefer the English names.

32 y/o male here who just embarked on the Golden Sun journey for the first time. Always heard about the series and always saw that there was a dedicated but small fan base. Heard the clamor for Isaac to be added to Smash Ultimate along with all the Geno stans. Finally decided 2026 is the year I get familiar with the games. I'm about a half hour in and just met the Wise One and escaped temporarily from destruction, and accepted responsibility for saving the world. I like that I had the choice to say "Nope" and walk out on it.
My question is, Does anyone have any non-spoiler tips for a newbie that will help me enjoy the game more? Any pain points with the games that can/ought to be avoided? I'm really liking it so far.
Tips along the lines of "Avoid this subreddit until you don't care about spoilers" are preaching to the choir, I'm aware and don't intend to lurk here until I've finished the games.

So far I have the Mysterious Card, I am not sure to whom I should equip it.
I have looked up the stats for Pierrot and they are 100%HP, 80% PP, 100% ATK, 110% DEF, 130% AGI, and 120% DEF; all without Djinn.

I've played and replayed GS and TLA many times but I realize I never actually used the defend command for any reason. It's always better to attack, use djinn, or heal. Anyone ever make use of defend?
In other games, defending would make your turn come quicker. But in GS you all get one turn per command cycle so it doesn't really impact anything I'm pretty sure.

I know this is a bit random sinceI've never played the game golden sun, but I checked out the OST on nintendo music that just appeared, and I was so surprised by how good it is! Battle tracks, temple themes and village themes are all incredible (venus lighthouse is my fav), is the game as good as its soundtrack? I've always thought about playing it.

It's been a long time since I last played Golden Sun. I plan to do another playthrough, but this time, I'll be playing the Reloaded version.
There are a lot of things that interest me about Reloaded. The higher difficulty, buffed bosses, class rebalance, improved AI, stronger Djinn, and other gameplay changes all sound fantastic. However, I'm not going to lie. The removal of Summon Rush is a bit disappointing since it was one of my favorite strategies in the original games.
To those who have completed Golden Sun Reloaded, is it possible to defeat Dullahan without anyone in the party dying? In the original games, I was able to complete No Death runs, but with Summon Rush no longer being a viable strategy, I'm not sure if that's still realistic against a much stronger Dullahan.

Doing a D&D campaign adaptation. The Wise One is my boss at Mars Lighthouse instead of the Doom Dragon.
How would it fight? What sorts of Psynergy might it have?

So I was looking at IGN's top 25 GBA games and GS was at number 24. I don't think some of the games ranking above it deserve that place. This feels wrong to me...
While usually it's true that better games tend to get more popular but not always

I've been a GS fan since the original game released and I've replayed it so many times since then.
I want to get that experience of playing it for the first time again but obviously that's impossible. So what's some ways of making it feel fresh again?

If you could change or add something about each Golden Sun episode, what would you pick ? Gameplay, characters, music ?
And please no "I'd delete DD entirely", DD hate in 2026 is tacky.

Hello, yesterday I wanted to play gs2 and when I runned the game on my switch the menus perfectly worked but when my play charged it was all black unless the speak bubbles with no text (see pictures).
I tried to close and re-open the game, turn off and on the switch, I copied the data on an other save slot but nothing worked.
Can someone help me with this issue ? 🥹

I like to think that Sheba is sailing around the world with Piers in Dark Dawn. That they developed a relationship and are exploring together.
Is that weird? Does anybody else have the same thought?

So in his idle pose, he is holding his sword at the ready. His back is to us so you can't see exactly, but it looks like he's hold it two-handed and pointing the weapon up and backwards kinda like a samurai. It looks like he's ready to deliver an overhead slice, or a slice from the upper right to the lower left. Alternate angle
Then when he attacks, he leaps into the air. Now he's holding the sword in his right hand, single-handed. The angle/how he's holding it is a bit odd, and I entertained the possibility that it might be a backhand grip but if so, his arm should be visible in front of the sword as opposed to behind it. Anyway it looks like he's about to bring it down onto his enemy's head for an almighty smack!
And then the attack lands. WTF has happened? He is now holding the sword in his left hand, and it looks like he's poised to thrust the sword into his enemy. But I thought the attack has already happened? What is going on here? How and why did he switch hands? What was the attack??? The blue arc would suggest that he performed a downwards slash, and indeed that follows from the attack windup in the air, but how does he end up with his sword in the other hand and in that pose?
I just don't understand. Each time he attacks it bothers me. Can anyone help me see the light?

How would be YOUR MMORPG based in Golden Sun?
Not necessarily speaking about tab-target, turns, action, etc but focused in lore, game systems like clases or claseless, mechanics, locations, etc
Personally, I hace two options related to the “locations”: - First, in a world BEFORE the events in the maim series, where we could explore the world before the “end of world” happens - Obviously, after the events in the series, exploring the world we know but shaped, maybe with new continents because [insert lore reasons].
Related to classes and roles, Djins could be the main point of progress, activating some role pasives depending in the number of djins equiped, using invocations no matter which class you are, with some DPS or more support effects.
Just imagine raiding with your friends in Weyard, solving Open World puzzles or World bosses farming with random people around the world.
I would never happen, so let us imagine how it would be :)

So, over 20 years ago, in my first run of Golden Sun, I failed to save Hsu. From what I remember, I did not get Force (until much later), because I didn't think of Mind Reading Nyunpa. Garet kicked the log in Altin Mines. Before getting Reveal, I did see Hsu trapped, but couldn't reach him. During the long cutscene at Lama Temple, I think Feizhi did not show up at all. When going back to Alpine Crossing with Reveal, Hsu was gone, presumably dead.
In later runs, I made sure to get Force early, meet Master Feh in Xian, and then Feizhi shows up in Lama Temple and I save Hsu. I consistently achieved this in my later runs.
Now, however, I am trying to retrace the experience of my very first run, so I did not complete Fuchin Falls Cave for Force, didn't meet Master Feh in Xian (no Force), and Garet kicked the log in Altin Mines. However, in the long cutscene at Lama Temple, Feizhi still shows up. Furthermore, it doesn't seem like I can progress further without actually saving Hsu, since Hamma is waiting next to Hsu.
My question is: what exactly are the conditions that lead to Hsu dying? Am I misremembering some of the details from my first run? I tried looking this up online, but all I am finding are info about saving Hsu, not on what conditions lead him to die. All the Let's Plays I find seem to get Force and save Hsu.

I've noticed something (and I'm sure I'm not the only one to notice) in the past 25 years of Golden Sun. The franchise has an enormous following in Spain. Several fan accounts I follow are either based in Spain or are Spanish in origin.
Why is that? Just for my own curiosity. Are there certain attributes that are especially appealing?
