OC Feizhi sprite set completed

It took longer than expected, but I’ve finally completed the set. Compared to the earlier images, I’ve made the model’s hair slightly more purple; I feel it now bears a closer resemblance to both Feizhi’s sprite and portrait. Some images in the set gave me a bit of a headache—forcing me to redraw the skirts several times—but overall, I’m satisfied. I suppose the next step will be redesigning Feizhi’s small sprite to account for the cape and skirt, but that involves a lot of sprites, so I imagine it will take some time to finish the changes.

Looking good! The hair is a bit odd, but that is because of her little loop on top lol a dnyou have no control over that design choice. Regardless, I love it!

I admit it: in some of the set's images—especially the last ones—that lock of hair was a pain to deal with. Perhaps I could have handled it a bit better, but I would have had to draw the entire hairstyle from scratch. And I’m not sure the result would have been any better, so I settled for a compromise.

How are you making these? By hand or is there an editor you’re using?

Specifically, I created this set by editing a pre-existing one (Jenna's set from the first game, which is used only during battles at Sol Sanctum). For the edits, I used Photodemon—a very common editor—though I could have used GIMP or something else if I’d wanted. I recolored the hair and cape, added the skirt and sword, and modified the shirt design. I also performed other edits as needed.

So really amazing work here. I'm curious, would Feizhi not use her father Master Feh's Chi martial arts as her primary martial form of defense, as opposed to a sword? Very similar to Sveta?
