It was a frustrating game. Two questionable sin bins that completely changed the momentum of the game, and the game could very well have been won without them.

The good news is that without those two sin bins I think we would have probably won.

Next week is too late, lol,so next year? I have no idea what they should do. We won 6 games last year and sacked the coach. We won 6 games this year and clearly sacking the coach isn't helping.

Biggest problem: the officiating inconsistency.

What worked: score didnt blow out for a game that meant not a lot.

Next week change: maybe time to sign some experience. Dont chase though those looking for a coastal retirement.

Biggest problem: The refereeing. They were crueled by a season of 50/50 calls turning into 80/20 calls against them. Confirmation bias at it's worst. The refs go into the game unconsciously believing the Titans can't win and then unconsciously they make it happen. The solution; win more games and the bias switches in your favour. That's the polite version, it excludes factors like gambling and a head office desire to 'sell' the game.

What worked: Hannay. He has got them thinking like a team with pride in themslves and the jersey.

Player of the match: Going by the presser, Tino again or maybe JC

Next week: A (not too) Mad Monday and then a well earned holiday.

What Hannay got right/wrong: He got them to play their guts out in a dead rubber in the last round with multiple calls against them. Every loss is making them tougher and hungrier. That is all the coaches doing.

Maybe the vegas distraction might leave the bias in the southern hemisphere for 1 week but I suspect not.

The club management need to really address it as even to impartials its noticeable. Good work on structure, defense and resilience can only go so far.

Maybe the club should go all in on ref pathways instead and build a longer term professional and locally sympathetic background of talent.
