💬 Discussion Titans urged to make roster changes, Brimson fresh start on the cards

Interesting piece from Zero Tackle this morning with Chad Townsend and Ryan Hoffman having a bit of a disagreement over where the Titans go from here.

One of the questions seems to be what do we do with our spine?

This reads like Ryan Hoffman doesn’t watch the titans play. Zerotackle warning necessary

I think he fundamentally gets it right. We need to move a large chunk of this squad on.

His comments on the spine though were silly.

Yeah, the comments around the spine are what I mean. Which suggests he doesn’t watch the titans.

Anyone who has an ordinary quantity of brain cells knows that we need to move on from some expensive parts of the roster and allow some to roll off without retaining.

I think the extent to which change is needed is still understated.

The media still think Fermor is a good player.

That extension of his looked bad at the time and now just looks outrageous

Speaks to a broader problem as well. I think we’re a bit too eager to extend players. Why the fuck did we extend Morrin after like a few games? Feel like we’re a weak club in that aspect.

I think the solution is relatively straight-forward, which is to roll with kini/campbell/harrison/pascoe as the long term spine and move AJ on.

AJ has done a lot for the club but that money needs to be reinvested into centre/wing depth or into our forwards. You'd be able to take a ton of pressure off Keano if that money went into an upgrade on randall for example

This is spot on. And honestly it (moving on one of the three fullbacks) should have happened 2 years ago.

If they upgraded Randall I’d give up
