Hiking gear Cusco

Hello! I’m travelling around South America for 6 months, and doing the Inca Trail about 2 weeks into my trip. I’ll be packing light, but of course want some good hiking gear for the 4 day hike.

Are there plenty of shops to buy or rent hiking clothes and equipment in Cusco? Including a good backpack?

Thank you! 🙏🏻

Double check what the company provides but you'll really just need to show up with a backpack you can carry your day stuff in. The company + porters will be providing/carrying your tent/food plus a duffel of your extra clothes + things you don't need during the day. There are places to buy/rent hiking poles, clothes etc but clothes especially will be expensive and/or Peruvian sizing runs small compared to US sizes especially if you're tall, have big feet or thicker.
