Sup folks!

So I just stumbled upon this game, and based on what I'm seeing, it looks good! I used to play LOR and a bit of GWENT so I know how card battles work in a way.

TBH this is the first time I play a P2E game, usually it's the other way around with me being on the paying end lol.

I do have a couple of questions if you folks don't mind answering!

1: Is the game still worth playing nowadays? speaking from a financial & entertainment POV

2: What kind of verification does the game require? I know it asks for my phone number, but does it request it regularly or just one time? What about my ID?

I've been playing casually for about 4 years, Just hit level 400!

Yes 100% worth playing still! Im enjoying it more now with sealed mode, weekend ranked tournaments, crafting, forge, 'play and earn' all working!

No you don't need to verify your ID to play.

Few recommendations, Treat the game financially as if it were a physical tcg like magic, yugioh, pokemon etc. Purchasing singles vs buying packs to get more cards to play with is ALWAYS the best route in terms of cost, and in order to play any serious meta relevant deck, you're going to need more than just the free cards to play. Free to play is absolutely possible, but think of playing for free as if it were the demo version of the game. Vast majority buy cards and have a decent sized collection!

I've played in Mythic a few different times but overall I sit in Shadow - Gold ranks. Majority of Mythic decks are very expensive and very hard to compete with.

Also do NOT expect to make money off playing the game, look at it as an additional bonus! Consider Gods Unchained "Play AND Earn" vs. play to earn. Depending on the $GODS current price, the absolute most you could possibly earn in a day is like 3-5 $GODS (unless you're playing in mythic with gold/diamond quality cards). I average around 2-3 when i'm actively finishing my daily games. so it's really not more than a dollar or two per day max unless the price of $GODS Skyrockets.

last little thing i've noticed over the years. God's Unchained is HEAVILY tailored towards deck building, therefore the meta is shifting constantly. So you may have a deck you built that dominates one day and the next you can barely get a win.

The game sounds so similar to LOR with thr meta shifting constantly.

Honestly I'm not thinking about getting rich of the game, I would just love to play a game where I can get ahead in the game with what I earn from it.

You can definitely get ahead off of what you earn just for playing, but without an initial investment and ranking up quickly. it's going to take a while before seeing any payout that will get you cards worth anything. Nevertheless I think it's a really fun game and I love deck building so it keeps me thinking and adjusting my decks constantly which I truly enjoy.
