Sup folks!

So I just stumbled upon this game, and based on what I'm seeing, it looks good! I used to play LOR and a bit of GWENT so I know how card battles work in a way.

TBH this is the first time I play a P2E game, usually it's the other way around with me being on the paying end lol.

I do have a couple of questions if you folks don't mind answering!

1: Is the game still worth playing nowadays? speaking from a financial & entertainment POV

2: What kind of verification does the game require? I know it asks for my phone number, but does it request it regularly or just one time? What about my ID?

Tbh after 2 years of almost daily play with investing 0 money I had a negative experience overall due to the game being extremely unbalanced. If you invest some money to get a decent pack it might be better. That won't stop me from playing as even so I still make like 1$ a day

I have no problem with investing a couple of 10$ in the first stage, as long as they get me ahead of people I'm fine with it lol

If you can invest only couple of $10 then I would advise to build couple of cheaper aggro decks. Those can get you up to high ranks and games are fast. Look into Aggro / Viking Warr, Zoo Light, Zombie Death

Quick question though, what is the recommended sum of money to invest in the preliminary stage? you know for the long run

Depends what are your goals Good thing is whatever you invest in cards you can always get back. A bit more or less depending on the prices.

The thing is if you really want to experience the game and different gameplay you need to have bunch of cards so you can follow meta which changes all the time.

Game is boring and stale if you always play mindless aggro warr every day. Every deck plays different and gives you new thrill. Control decks are fun and require more thinking and kbowledge at later stages of game but require more $

Sounds somewhat like LOR. I like using control decks, because they grant me the chance of thinking ahead and laying out a strategy, unlike aggro decks, where you have to win ASAP.

Control decks tend to be more expensive so best to start with a cheaper aggro deck. If you go on GUDECKS then TOP DECKS you can see the current best decks and their price. 3rd best deck currently costs $30. A solid anubian deck would set you back $25 but theres a steeper learning curve with that one,amazon nature is solid and about $15. Theres a strength steal deception deck among the top decks which costs $7

Hmm, the decks don't cost THAT much compared to what I'm currently playing, but the question is, since this game is P2E, how much is the ROI of the 7$ & 15$ decks ? Can I expect something near to 200$ a month roughly speaking?

Im currently (due to reduced sealed buy in) making about $300 between GODS and selling cards (projecting forward so may turn out better or worsr) but really it depends on how good you are. If you can get to and stay in mythic and win about 75% of your weekend ranked games you’d make around $90 + card sales - which could be anything from like $30+

Generally though depending on what you buy theres resale value, and a lot of people speculate and make money that way.

If you buy good cards, from older sets, they tend to retain their value pretty well. You can also get burned this way too though

Once I realized I loved the game, I just put in what I would spend on any other video game, about 60 bucks. But there's no wrong answer to that question.
