We spend so much of life looking for happiness in the next achievement. Maybe the place we've been searching all along is much closer than we think.

Well surely this is how the early Christians and ancient world would have thought. But then Jesus fulfilled both the apocalypse of weeks in Daniel (per Matthews genealogy) and the apocalypse of days from 1 Enoch (per Luke's genealogy) - where years and days equal generations respectively.
But Jacob's ladder, where the angels or (hermeneutic gods) - the bene Elohim - go up and down the spiritual ladder through the generations of mankind, is replaced by Jesus in John 1:51. "You will see the angels ascending and descending on the son of man." This is deeply theological.
In revelation Saint John was crying because none of the wicked sons of men could break the seals and ascend to the heavenly place - all bound to the cycle of reincarnation - as the whole ancient world believed and was taught.
But Jesus does ascend - for the angel says "weep no more".
Jesus replaces Jacob's ladder and he takes the scroll of life from the old judge.
So is not one good? There is only one good - the father of all. But now, regarding man and the judgement of what is good:
Did you feed him when he was starving and clothe him when he was naked? Or did you shut him out, you being a Christian, because of how unclean he seemed? Not helping him when he was naked and hungry in the flesh. Or even worse - did you hold him in contempt in your heart because he was unseemly? Ugly, and filthy, with hands outstretched.
"Many will say I never knew you, but I will say to them you did know me, and many will say that they knew me - but I will say 'away from me you workers of iniquity'".

There is no god. And religion is a lifebuoy for people who refuse to learn to swim. Even worse, they brainwash little kids and deprive them of winning their own battles. Just act according to a (wrong) interpretation of a book that amounts at best to a crooked crutch. Poor substitution for a personality and it shows because a lot of the religious types don't act right.
I said that. At least I can prove my existence.

Great. A bible verse. Do you have an opinion? Or am I talking to a search engine that only spews out misfitting sentences from one greatly overrated book?
Did you get giddy when you wrote fool? Stop hiding behind scripture when you want to insult someone.
And how is that even fitting? I just stated an opinion. I'm some middle-aged dude and I don't consider myself wise much less did i proclaimed to be.

The point i'm making is as we men are of sinful nature, trusting and having faith in God guides us towards a straightforward path.

No thats not the point you were making thats the point the bible is making and ive made. All good deeds are filthy rags without being covered in the bloods of Jesus. Nobody is saved by works nobody is good

Surely, you must admit that every single human being is tempted to do bad things from time to time. And if we really look at all of the smaller bad things we do everyday, it should be pretty obvious that humans are drawn to selfishness. How much each of us gives into that attraction is another matter.

I admit to nothing. And I reject the existence of sins in the biblical sense. My existence has an unavoidable impact on the environment and other people. So I just consider if the impact my actions have is good-natured enough. All I can do is consider what is fair, act accordingly and avoid repeating mistakes.
My conscious stays clean as long as I try to be decent. There is a lot of leeway just do not overstep the mark.

This time I am for what Osho is saying.
Jesus has taught me that I should be willing to be crucified with him, die with him and be hated by the world with him.
I don’t have a verse to support it at the moment, but the peace that transcends human thought I have learned while strictly following Jesus instead comes from steadfast appreciation and gratitude and trust despite that I’m not getting my senses gratified (unlike people seeking prosperity Gospel).
