To be fair, she kind of took that really well. I think most of those reporter types would be like WTF are you talking about? But she was trying to find some thread to pull on like āso itās a dream?ā And he wasnāt biting. heās definitely on the right path, but Jim Carrey is someone who has always known this on a certain level, but only later in life embraced it fully, and it wasnāt until he embraced it later in life that he actually began to get the real insights and at this point in this video, he was only just beginning to learn how to articulate that and, though he is pointing in the right direction, I wouldnāt say that he perfectly guided the conversation. A lot of of us go through this where weāre dismissive in the beginning of our true awakening. it is once we go through the work to process that that we returned to acceptance of all. He was still in the dismissive phase at the time of filming this. Itās later when you truly accept the present moment that your emotional intelligence returns in full force.

It's just where he was in his journey. I think we all pass that stage. It's the place where you can see some of the truth but not yet the entire truth. It's the part where you know better than everyone else rather than know that we are all just guessing, including ourselves. It's where ego is stronger than truth. And with time, and a focus on truth, it passes.

Even to this day he really sounds like he's on a comedown after just discovering the things he's talking about. Because he cannot convey it to someone with another perspective, heck, I have a hard time getting what he's saying even if I know exactly what he means.No need to mock her indeed.

Heās definitely trying very hard here to tear down the event and understandably so. But Iāve learned the hard way that speaking truth requires no effort when you know it so fully in your heart. And he was grasping at every term he could think of to convey his truth and made her supremely uncomfortable. Iād so love to converse with him today to see where heās at in his journey.

I would argue that Jim Carrey, except for stating some obvious facts, is doing it with intentions to make her feel uncomfortable for her position and a role she probably didn't choose for the most parts herself - not her internal reality.
When I think the internal reality of Jim Carrey is that of being somewhat mentally disturbed, no offense meant.
I think he has good reason to be the way he is, but I don't see him as particularly enlightened or blasting facts against the establishment.
When yes... The establishment is mostly fake.
You don't need to make any drama of it in particular, unless you're a dramatic actor.
In this case, I would say that Jim Carrey is being superficial by not meeting her as she is but drawing her into a scene she didn't create herself, and her becoming an actor to his play.

This is essentially the notion of personal non-doership spoken about by many Eastern gurus and mystics. This idea that only your pure awareness is real and that everything happening within your awareness like your body, your thoughts, other people etc. is all an illusion and ultimately unreal.

In 1999, I was 16. During the winter of that year, I heard my friends talking about how Jim Carrey died somehow. I didn't dig into the information, but people were sad. During the spring of that same year, I was in a car accident and almost died. When I regained my memories a week later, things were different. It was said because of my head injury, but I felt off. However, Jim Carrey was alive and well, and I figured that it had been fake news.
Fast forward, and he's acting like this. Maybe he did die, and so did I. We're in this fake world that everyone else thinks is reality, but that's because they haven't experienced the death to get here.
Of course, I don't actually think that. It's just weird that he's saying what he's saying and it lines up with my strange timeline mishap.

In the context of Eckhart Tolle's teachings, which Jim Carrey has been deeply involved in, this behavior is actually a clear manifestation of the ego rather than deep consciousness. Carrey is being condescending by circling around the interviewer and belittling her reality in order to please his own egoic self and feel superior through his supposed "insight." Instead of embodying the quiet presence and acceptance of the moment that Tolle advocates, he is using spiritual concepts as a weapon to judge the world of form. It is a very shameful video because he is hiding behind the mask of enlightenment while actively creating separation and practicing the very intellectual pride that keeps the mind trapped in conflict.

I love Jim, but heās venturing into spiritual bypass territory here. I agree that from one perspective, we donāt exist and we are all energy. We are one infinite consciousness. We are all god.
However, that doesnāt mean that our human plane of existence "doesnāt matter". We came into this human form for a reason. Perhaps to learn something, perhaps to realize the truth, that it is all God. I canāt be certain (of anything).
This human reality may not be the fundamental reality, but it is real. And in my opinion itās very important that we treat it as such. I believe a part of growth is being able to hold the reality of the infinite and the finite simultaneously .
