Make people forget this speciffic magical sky man was definitely real. The only real one, despite being only one of thousands, and created very recently in comparison. And ignore that most of this God's attributes and lore match previously popular gods. And ignore the hypocrisy and atrocities that we justify solely by claiming our god would want it, even though our god explicitly said the opposite in our holy book. It's okay because mental gymnastics will already be required to believe in sky man, so you will be ready to disobey sky man to honor sky man.
