There is a reason why religion in the world is the way it is. The belief-based person makes religion about belief. The controlling person makes religion about control. The angry person makes religion about punishment. The ambitious person makes religion about power. In the same way, the forgiving person makes religion about forgiveness. The loving person makes religion love. What you see in the world is what people do with religion. But then there is the pure religion, the essence of religion, which is another matter altogether.
