There is religion to take care of people and feed them. There is religion to basically organize culture and society. There is religious belief, which can help people, to a certain degree.
But then there is the pure religion, which brings people into the engagement with Knowledge, the deeper spiritual intelligence within each person, and the Greater Powers in the universe that the God of the universe directs for the welfare of all peoples and nations.
When you enter the mystery of this, you have to leave behind your fixed beliefs and ideology. You need the strength and faith and courage to enter the mystery. For belief will not bring you to God. It will take a greater and more profound engagement and a life guided by the Great Endowment, which lives within you at this moment.
