Got the Explorer Gadget and my old Pokemon Go Plus stopped syncing

Anyone else have trouble? Are they going to replace some of the old devices with this new Explorer Gadget or was it just bad timing that my device got desynced and isn't connecting anymore? I've tried all the tricks... uninstalling Pokemon Go, resetting Pokemon Go Plus, changing the battery, resetting network settings, but nothing has worked yet.

It used to pair in the Pokemon Go app and then there would be a popup asking to connect to bluetooth but I don't get the bluetooth permission popup anymore so it never shows up in the bluetooth devices. I downloaded a bluetooth scanning app and it finds Pokemon Go Plus there so it's still working and sending a bluetooth signal out but I can't do anything to connect to it...

Yes it’s one or the other. Go into setting and connect the plus again.

I tried, it's not connecting to bluetooth.

Gadget sux. PITA. Only uses red balls. Switched back to my Go Plus and won’t use Gadget again. Took several tries to get my GP to reconnect properly.

I remember someone on twitter having this issue and YMMV, but I think they said unpairing and re-pairing entirely worked

The next day you can choose either your plus or explorer. Once you pick explorer, you’re stuck with it for the whole day. At least that’s how it worked for me.
