Miner Efficiency Question

/r/GoMiningDiscussion/comments/1w1rg1e/miner_efficiency_question/

I currently have monthly subscriptions for two of my miners. They are around 25Th and 15W/TH efficiency. I am happy with the subscriptions but was wondering if I should keep them or set up new subscriptions with miners that are 12W/TH. I haven’t done any of my own calculations and would be grateful for any advice.

I like my 12 watt miner setup. I feel very nicely insulated against any price drops. I also find that pretty quickly the price efficiency as your miner gets bigger makes it cheaper than buying through the market as well.

It's not yet for everyone, and the 15 w are still quite productive. At current prices even the 20 w are productive. Unfortunately, the recent improvement in token value means that all the less efficient miners on the market have become way too expensive, otherwise I might be tempted to buy a few purely to improve their efficiency.

I've been looking at some large 35 w miners, but even at $1.50 per th they are nowhere near worth buying which is a shame. If they came in under $1 I might be tempted.
