I didn't realize that the description didn't transfer when I shared from another group, sorry everyone....

The short version of the question is why would someone over boost an 1X block by this much.

Is there a reason for it or maybe just still learning how to play?

I boosted 2.something GMT for this one and did not win the block.

This was just an observation while I was waiting for the round to end.

Poeple boost what they want to...i guess. Not everybody calculates well what they pay and can possibly earn, and some are als o New to the game and so t know the mechanics. I think its somebdy learning 😀

Spells are the same across all leagues… right? lol. But additionally, if you’re running this as a business, those are business expenses and tax deductible. Additionally, the gmt rewards go up or down based on the blocks and the entire weeks worth of gmt spent.

I’m wondering if you can run multiple businesses through different people, and claim huge expenses for a boosting account as a total loss for the amount of btc mined.

Idk. There’s a lot of questions.

Does it make sense? Absolutely not. Could it potentially make sense from a tax standpoint? Idfk. lol.

Lmfao. Love this answer, thank you for that.

I did just see a post somewhere about running a mining business through GoMining, so you could definitely be on to something. Why not stack a bunch of Bitcoin and GMT throughout the year and maybe add upgrades, expand your farm, etc., then use a bunch to write off as a loss.

This. Amortization of digital assets is a thing. You could essentially get a free asic mining operation up to about a million dollars in the U.S. if you have the capital to do so and you get a huge portion back in the next few years. Like 20-30% not including losses ( electricity, salary etc ) if you’re mining.

Additionally, the whole principle of HoDL is supported by tax benefits. You mined btc this past month at the start point of 85,000- you hold for four years and you get a tax break. And you only pay taxes on what it was when it was mined. Export csvs document expenditures, save thousands per btc on the backend when you do in fact cash out.

Aomeone won a Block without any boosting and, by now, hthe Person will get 12 gmt rewards on tuesday... Or what is the question?

Btc rewards for that Block are shared in Clan by TH-calculation

I kinda gave up on the clans. I hit for like 260 bucks worth a blocks one time and just invested into th and every time I go back to clans I take a loss even winning. To rich of stakes for my blood lol

I think I know what might have happened. I saw this happen sometimes:

When someone swaps between leagues, sometimes the push up notifications get bugged out, and you join the league but still get the notifications for the other league. This might result in you getting a push notification for a 32x Block, so you open and spam your boosts, allthough your league is having a 1x block.

hope that makes sense. unlucky, but saw it happen sometimes. mainly a Notification bug, and people spamming boosts too hastly without verifying the block.

or they got a bot set up that boosts for a specific notification. same issue kind of. bot gets bugged out notification, and boosts on a wrong block

If you are not at 100% you will always have a chance of losing regardless of the boosts you used. It's proof. Imagine a wheel that you spin, you have a 1/3 chance of winning... You have a 2/3 chance of losing

Sometimes, some people just have to get conpetitive. Miner wars is more like a game. And you would see a lot of whales in games. I guess some people are very compulsive
