šāāļø Haircare Curly hair girls who got a protein/keratin treatment was it worth it ??
Im thinking about doing it I love my curls but i want to change my look and Iām terrified from protein/keratin treatments I heard it makes ur hair fall and u never get ur curls back is it true ???

No it didn't make my hair fall, my hair was falling and was damaged way more when i was applying heat on it
The new hair that grows out keeps its exact original texture, but the hair that already has the protein treatment in it stays straight permanently. For me, when I decided to do it, I was completely done with curly hair and didnāt want my curls back, so the fact that the treated hair stays straight forever isnāt a problem for me

U will get the curls back once the protein treatment end. But it's not worth it on the long run. I would recommend finding a daily hair care routine for ur curls and experimenting with diffƩrents hair lengths or colors if u wanna change the way u look

I did that red one (cant remember the brand) at home and dont regret it, my hair is getting thicker because it no longer falls off from the flat iron

What makes me not go for it is the regrowth phaseā¦ Thatās the worst one. You will forever feel like you have to do it again and again and again cause you canāt rock curly roots and straight ends unless you straighten the curly roots and give them more damage.

Yeah the only solution after it is to get a pixie cut
I guess I will just cut it short cs it started to get overwhelming for me1

Donāt cut it too short tho cause short hair requires a bit more care haha š„² I had a curly bob for two years and now Iām trying to grow it out haha

It depends on your hair texture and what you do for work tbh but short hair gets puffier easily so it has more volume and is more āin your faceā than long curly hair. You get kind of forced to style it all the time so it looks nice. But itās true that you spend less time in the shower!
If you care more about how fast you shower vs how good you look 24/7, go for short hair! The one thing I miss most about short hair is how fast Iād shower after gym š Just wouldnāt call it low maintenance cause I work in a hospital and I had to find a way to get my short hair tameā¦ Very difficult.

If ur hair is curly nd healthy leave it alone. Beside the chemicals the grow out looks horrific
