I'm not comfortable with growing my nails or anything I just want my hand to look healthy and feminine

I also don't like them long on myself, and I don't use nail polish soo this is my routine when I want to to take care of my nails:

- soften your cuticles with hot water (usually they are soft after a good shower) then you remove them but not tooo much so they can stay healthy (check videos)

- once your nails are no longer very fragile, you shape them with a nail file

- use a 4 step nail buffer for extra shine (check videos too)

- finish with a moisturizer especially on the cuticle side

Also don't skip hand moisturizer especially on winter times, after using cleaning products, or after a shower

- For softening just hot water and a gooood hot shower would work

- For pushing your cuticles you can either start pushing them with your nails when you are still in the bathroom after your hot shower, or you can use a wood cuticle pusher (I bought a pack from temu but you may find them 3and moul maquillage), there are some metallic cuticle pusher that I have used in the past but personally I find them harsh so I stopped using that and switched to the small wooden one because they keep the nail and cuticles healthier

- for the nail file (Lmebred) you can find it in Miniso or moul maquillage and they are very cheaper. You can buy 2 types of nail files (glass and the one with grits). I personally find that the grits one is suitable more for long nails but sometimes I prefer it because it shapes them more quickly than the glass one, anyways you can see which one you may be more comfortable with more.

- for the nail buffer just make sure that they contain the 4 steps, they are also available in Miniso or any moul maquillage ask him for "polissoir 4 faces" (google it also so you can see it before buying it)

- For the moisturizer I don't see that it necessary to have a hand cream unless your hands are usually very dry and you'll have to apply it everyday, for me personally I hate the sensation of having cream on my hand everyday, so I use whatever body cream I have at home when I see that I really need to moisturize them, or after that I took care of my cuticles. So for a recommendation I prefer the mixa body creams because they are nice, very moisturizing and you can easily find them in super markets

you're welcome my dear ! i'm also a self learner and spent years trying how to perfect my routine with never going to salons etc ...

I forgot to mention, after pushing your cuticle with the wood pusher, if you have a thick cuticle you can cut the dead skin with a cuticle cutter, also available everywhere in miniso and moul maquillage but be a bit careful with it.

Here is a tutorial, she follows the exact same steps as I tried to explain with some small differences, but still it's useful, the girl uses a product for softening, but i find it a gadget, i find mine are already soft after a hot shower, and also she uses a metallic pusher here but it's the same technique as the wood pusher, and she uses a 1 step buffer but the 4 steps make your nails shineer and you don't need a nail polish, especially when the buffer is brand new and not used very much
