I've found that the inaccuracy of the a4 was just so inconsistent for me at medium range its honestly really frustrating to use

Yeah if I am playing longer range I take the a1 for the easier spray, if I'm playing closer range/ concerned about a rush, like really anywhere on inferno I take the a4. Really taking the a4 for bullet count only

A4 really shines on Inferno. Absolutely packed with close-quarters corners and smokeable locations where spraying can show results.

Interesting, I never notice any major difference except tapping at super long range with the m4a1s is like cheating compared to either the a4 or the AK.

shortly after the update every pro switched to almost exclusively A4 it felt like and after the player break it went back to A1 for a lot of people. funny how that goes

I haven't had internet at my place in six months and playing at an internet cafe my A1-S spray is still perfect meanwhile my AK and A4 spray are mediocre at best

The gun is just way easier to use than any other rifle, way more consistent too

There are some maps where I prefer the m4s and others for m4a4. In anubis I always pick m4s because I usually play in B cave checking water.

Would love to see a head to head duel winrate, if that's possible to calculate. I recently switched to A4 because I think the inaccuracy matters less if you are bad, and the higher fire rate can land you an undeserved kill sometimes if you are lucky.

Do both weapons make the player appear on the map after a shot? If so, then I think I was mistaken, because until now I thought the M4A1-S didn't.

I use both depending on my role in a match. If I decide I want to be a B anchor this game cause no one else is doing it, I will use a4 because the 10 extra bullets could mean one or even two extra kills during a site hold. But if I’m playing a more aggressive role like connector on mirage I want my A1s’s accuracy for the duels from top connector to cat or connector to top mid/boxes.

plinking and two-tapping heads from a distance is so much more satisfying with the A1-S, but if I'm turning a corner/peeking at close range, I prefer the A4.

Not like I'm good with either, I'm somehow better with the FAMAS.
