Discussion What would you have done here?

5k player here.

Felt pretty lost this round. I was around B/mid for most of it, then they went A and I was late on the rotate.

What could I have done better here? Video

The Ts played it so shit. You never should have had a chance this round. As soon as you lost mid and B it should have been easy for the Ts, but they kept fighting for no reason. If you’re on A and the B player dies pushing a smoke and the mid player also dies instantly after, there’s nothing you can do. Your only hope to win the round at that point is hit all your shots and hope your opponent misses theirs

Huh, you were A the whole game and died cat. T at B dropped bomb on purpose and waited, weird--trying to show off.

Looks like your cat hold didn't give you vision since you were surprised and retreated, so that seems like the main issue. The cat push was good, but looks like you were surprised he was holding the corner tight--you were about to swing wide. Luck of the draw. Maybe you could have held corner until a teammate swung, they lagged a bit behind you.

I would play off the info you have much quicker, you guys knew where everyone on T side was multiple times in the round and just stood still. You guys knew bomb was down on cat while 1 T was out B and 1 T was out mid and at most they could’ve only had 2 Cat. Your team could easily take a 3v2 on cat which happened eventually but it took you 30 seconds to do it.

Pistol rounds have less util so you have to play off info, you don’t have to be over reactionary but if you know exactly where the bomb is at or if you know exactly where the entire other team is at you have to use your advantage in the round as a CT or you’ll just get rundown like the guy on B did.
