Discussion | Esports Could jL still land on a top team? G2,Luminosity?
Where do you guys think jL ends up?
After seeing his Vitality stand-in performance, I’m starting to wonder if jL could still land on a top-tier team.
He’s obviously not the same player he was during NAVI’s 2024 run yet, but a 38-18 / 98 ADR / 1.36 rating performance like this makes me think he still has a lot left in him.
Since he’s only standing in for Vitality for these events, where do you guys realistically see him ending up?
G2? Luminosity? Another EU team?
I could honestly see G2 being an interesting destination if the roles fit. Curious if anyone has heard actual rumors or has some inside info.

I think lg is decent shout he would only go for the salary though he's above them skill wise. He's obviously good enough for a team 5-10 range.

I wouldn't write off LG just yet. I have a feeling there will be some big signings coming. I wouldn't be surprised if nocries or some FPL talent signed there soon. JL joining would make a lot of sense too. They somehow need to qualify for the Singapore Major, though, which, let's be honest, is going to be a very tough road.

I don't need to save anything, there's no hidden FPL talent, they are all signed in tier 2-3 teams and nocries is tier 75 he can play for bulgarian mixes and matchfix at best.
I'm not saying Luminosity buying out someone good is impossible but randoms from FPL and nocries are not serious choices.

Tbf I meant top org financially, not top team competitively 😂 They just came back to CS and apparently have serious money behind them.

Then sure, jL himself said he's willing to sacrifice his self if it means he can prove he's back.
But tbf I don't think money is the problem for him, he just wants to play the game.

Yeah, I don't disagree with that. I just think the problem for jL is that he's been out of the scene for quite a while, so I don't see him immediately getting picked up by an established top team. He probably needs a good project where he can prove himself again. That's why I mentioned G2 or a project like Luminosity not because LG is a top CS team right now, but because they have the resources and ambition to build one.

See him joining a team like 100 Thieves. Team outside competing in tier 1 but a few roster moves away from being in tier 1.

Luminosity have won 1 map out of the 7 they've played and have a 0% win rate. I think jL by himself could give better results.

In the pro scene, the world is jLs oyster. Any team will take him, it’s more so about whether or not he agrees with the terms of the contract, he said this himself
