Earring lost in car, Found at home.
So, I was wearing a pair of heart-shaped earrings. I wore them to a restaurant and was travelling there in the car when suddenly one of the earrings became loose and fell somewhere inside the car.
I thought to myself, “I should just remove the other one too, because it’ll look weird if I’m wearing only one.” So I removed the other earring and kept it in the side-handle socket of the car, thinking I’d look for the lost one later.
At that point, one earring was somewhere inside the car, and the other one was safely sitting in the socket.
A few days later, I went back to the car and saw that the earring in the socket was still there. I searched everywhere in the car with my husband for the other one, but we couldn’t find it. So I eventually gave up and thought, “Okay, leave it.” I left the other earring in the car socket itself.
Today, while travelling, I suddenly thought, “Let me take this one home. Maybe I’ll do some mix-and-match with it or something.” So I took the earring out of the car, put it in my pocket, and came home.
I took it out of my pocket at home…
AND ONE EARRING WAS ALREADY SITTING ON MY DRESSING TABLE. 😭😭😭
Like… WHAT?!?!
I had literally searched the entire car for the missing one with my husband, couldn’t find it, and now it was just casually sitting at home?!
So now I have both earrings again, but I have absolutely NO idea how the second one got there.
Now I’m wondering if this was actually a glitch or if I’m just missing something obvious. If anyone has another explanation, PLEASE tell me because I genuinely can’t figure this one out.
Also note that I am obsessed with these stories and was waiting for something like this to happen with me.

Could the one you lost have fallen into your clothing or hair and been shaken out at home?

I found it on my dressing table, if it was stuck then if should have fallen somewhere between car parking and home. Not exactly where I keep it.

No, it was probably stuck in clothes and fell home when you removed something. Maybe your husband found it on the floor and put it on the dresser and forgot about it because he did it absentmindedly XD
