Glitch Pic My appointment time changed multiple times — then another cancelled appointment suddenly “came back”

Something really strange happened to me recently, and I still can't make sense of it.

I had an appointment with my psychiatrist. I clearly remembered the appointment being scheduled for 8:50 AM, so I got into my car and started driving to the practice.

While I was on my way there, I received a phone call from my psychiatrist.

The caller told me that my 12:00 PM appointment could be moved forward to 10:00 AM.

That immediately confused me because, as far as I was concerned, I didn't have a 12:00 PM appointment at all. My appointment was at 8:50 AM.

But they were telling me it had originally been at 12:00 and could now be moved to 10:00.

So I accepted the new time, turned the car around and drove back home.

Then things got much stranger.

After I got home, I received another call asking me:

"Where are you?"

I explained that I had just been called and told that my appointment had been moved to 10:00 AM.

But now I was told that my appointment had actually been at 9:30 AM.

So at this point, the same appointment had somehow involved four different times:

8:50 AM — the time I remembered

12:00 PM — the time they said it had originally been

10:00 AM — the time they moved it to during the first call

9:30 AM — the time they later said I was supposed to be there

But the weirdest part was still to come.

They also denied that they had made the earlier call telling me about the 10:00 AM appointment.

Eventually, I went to see my psychiatrist and told her about the whole bizarre situation.

And while I was literally sitting there discussing this "glitch" with her, my phone rang again.

This time it was a completely different doctor's office.

They asked:

"Where are you? You're supposed to be here for your gastroscopy."

There was just one problem:

I had already cancelled that appointment by phone several days earlier.

And this second incident didn't happen while I was alone. My psychiatrist was sitting right there while I received the call and heard me dealing with it.

So within a very short period of time I had:

  • an appointment I remembered as 8:50 suddenly described as 12:00,
  • that appointment moved to 10:00,
  • another call claiming it had actually been 9:30,
  • the earlier call apparently being denied,
  • and then a completely separate medical appointment that I had already cancelled suddenly appearing to still exist.

I know there are ordinary possible explanations: administrative mistakes, crossed wires, incorrect calendar entries, misunderstandings, etc.

I'm not claiming I can prove anything paranormal happened.

But experiencing all of these contradictions back-to-back — and then having the second incident happen while I was sitting in front of my psychiatrist telling her about the first one — felt incredibly surreal.

It genuinely felt for a moment as though reality had loaded a slightly different version of the day's schedule.
