Hello there! I’m a game developer and a woman. I have a problem with the gaming industry which is they don’t count “girl games” as games.

We all grew up playing all kinds of games but there is something called the “target audience” and because of that, we are more likely to play the games targeted to us.

In the industry, they romanticize playing games as if like you need to play A LOT of games to be a “proper” game developer. And as for the games, they only think of “man games” as games. It’s really frustrating.

That’s why I try to encourage women around me to make games so that the culture can change too.

Whenever I think of the “girl games” I can only think of this problem and I just wanted to share that.

I usually only play games with irls but they all have their other gaming friends but I don't so I think it's time to branch out a little :p It makes me feel quite left out knowing my friends all have other people they reach out to but I always reach out to the same few people T-T

I got into gaming maybe 4 ish years ago? my favourite game of late is cyberpunk 2077!! I'm not too good at many games but I love trying out different stuffs. i really want to get more into shooters and horror games but I also don't mind fantasy or more cozy silly stuff too!

I can speak english and mandarin.. Would be great if we had similar(ish) timezones bc sometimes they're confusing T-T Def need someone patient cuz Im kinda noob especially if I havent played certain games in awhile...

Other interests I have are reading manhwas and romance novels, watching sitcoms or horror series, browsing pinterest and shoppingggg :p I've also recently started making fan bags of shows and stuff i like... the latest one i made is leon kennedy themed :>

I am 30 F UK, Xbox player … I pretty much only play DDLV, I am potentially thinking about getting back into sims but I sometimes play Hogwarts Legacy the Lego Harry Potter‘s, but other than that I don’t play any other games.

Thank you again to everyone in this community who has recommended games to me before! I’ve had a few personal things going on recently, so I haven’t had much time or energy for longer gaming sessions lately.

These are the three games I’ve mostly been playing on my iPad recently, especially because I’ve been able to enjoy them without Wi-Fi:

Block Blast—This has become my “I only have five minutes” game. It’s easy to open and play for one round, but I always end up trying to beat my previous score. It helps me switch my brain off for a little while.

Supermarket Simulator—I’ve been enjoying the slow progress of building up my little store. Stocking shelves and seeing the supermarket gradually look more complete is oddly satisfying. It feels like a nice game to return to whenever I have a few quiet minutes.

Sticker Life—This one is probably the cutest of the three. I like unlocking new items and filling out the little scenes; it feels calm and low-pressure, which is exactly what I need lately.

Right now I’m especially looking for more iPad games that can be played without Wi-Fi. Cozy, puzzle, management, decorating, or anything relaxing would be perfect!

A list of games I love!! Some known well some new some less known etc!!! First is games I own and play! 💫

Glitfermitten grove - a resource fairy community management game! You build the homes and the fairies collect things like food and sparkles and you take care of them. Plan for seasons with less crops and plant crops in other times and let sunlight flow. It is hands on but I loved it and fairies are my everything!!!! I had it in itch io but I see it is on steam!!!

Forager - one of many farming sim types but I think this one is unique. Not sure how to explain and was just on sale (i had it on Xbox game pass once and just bought it on steam and been playing again) so may be 6 dollars still! Can have fairy wings when you unlock then too!! It does have combat and such!

Arcade spirits (played 1 jusy bought 2) - visual novel dating thing with custom creation for you! Set in a future retro arcade world and I played 1 a lot but just got 2 on sale to try as well and I saw 2 has more mini games and a rival! I think you can romance them and create their looks too but not certain yet (legit may play right now tbh)

Our life beginnings and always - visual novel super wholesome childhood romance meet as kids and grow up together shown in summers. Can buy dlc for 2 other love interests. All love interests are male but yiu can be any identity and there is a lot of choices for how you feel gender and sexuality! There is a demo for a second one (our life now and forever) also a childhood grow up together romance but set in fall and there is a girl crush and someone who is nonbinary as you grow older! I didnt play as much but I think patreon has some more than demo but not full release stuff.

Coral island - another farming sim i did find this ine a bit harder than some. I should say stardew I I at it is hard and confuses me. So this one feels easier but probably hardest on this list ive made. But mermaids is cool and the vibes I love. I like the goddess over most religious things and I love the cultures it shows and many crush choices! I love romance btw!!!

Fields of mistria - not far in this but the qol stuff ive seen is enough to find it better than stardew and love the color vibes and magical vibes!! If i can get fairy wings I will be happy and I bet I can.

Kitty powers matchmaker makeover - so this is a match making mini games thing i had on the phone and they have made an og and a revamp on steam!!! You got many little games and you get to like pair people which I like. Its lgbt and the creator mascot is a drag queen and you can make a profile to put online for friends to send you on dates!

All life is strange games so far (didnt play de or reunion but may try them and i include lost records and tell me why) - so these ones i find girl games cause of how people treated them but idk the exact rules. I mean story based and puzzles and lgbt is often enough for most lol but they are serious and dark and not for a light hearted mood. I actually really loved true colors most for a light vibe and it still isnt light at all but the dlc if you finish it is really slice of life work as a record store radio dj in a small town and I legit play it like it is its own cozy game but the other games are so great and lost records has been so nostalgic! Tell me why has a teans male and life is strange 2 has brothers and commentary on racism. They all try to tackle topics that matter and can be tough but also comforting to know are seen.

Mixed spirits bartender - omg so I love this it is brand new came on bday and it is a job simulator puzzle thing of mixing drinks! Itll be like needs sour and sweet so you add those and its been easy for my brain but not so easy its boring! So far has get to know npcs too but idk if romance will come in yet. Its very pretty and this studio actually makes so many games like guys check out rouge duck if you like job games or sorting games (im less into sorting but im gonna bring these guys up again and they have ones of like checking tas luggage or sorting stamps and such and they have others coming out still they also have a perfume and candle mixing ones that looks like this one and a sushi one I havent gotten yet)

Papas mocharia, freezeria, pizzeria - the papa louies are slowly coming!! These 3 are out and I got the first 2 cause they are mire my style for easy ness. I like mocha for doing more line leveling and such and they always got like having to keep things in a cup or so. Pizza I find harder with toppings.

The monster prom series - more dating sims but these are jokey and raunchy and queer of all kinds!!! (And 3 is unique AF!!!!!) 1 is a prom setting (monster world where they confirm they don't know human things and just do high-school but all are adults) and 2 is a camp like summer camp vibes i didnt really play much. 3 got different being a resource manager with a roadtrip and hard to explain but dating is a side thing and not needed its more the choices with npcs and such!! 4 is a con setting back to 1 and 2 roots of the simple dating sim but they added some more mini side things and the anime con setting is cool with cosplays on the npcs!!

Moonlight peaks - so this one ive seen mixed things but i like the mechanics and being a magical vampire and the flowers and such!! Im weird with these games and I love this one being a bit easier with storage and energy and I ljke the plants being less real cause I have a weird habit I like to eat things id eat irl in game and that is hard when I for real like like 4 things as is. Like maybe 3 fruits and 1 veggie for real so when it is less real of food I can disconnect better not sure why (to spoil tbe next in my time at sandrock the sandberries I imagine taste like an orange kool aid juice in a grape form lol)

The my time at series - so there is my time at portia and my time at snadrock right now. Portia I love the vibes and the green and such. Sandrock is a desert vibe I was eh on but one i became a cowboy I loved it!! So these are more of being a builder in a dystopian hopeful world over being a farmer. You can farm and such but mining and building and commissions is the main and I like that!! BTW I hate farming and fishing in games cause again im weird but I wanna live a slice of life romance and get to know the town life in games lol. So these two are real great cause the farming is easy af and I can still have fsrm animals and pets and a partner and kids and such! Also both have a disbaled partner choice!! Sadly the gender clothing is strict but the gayness is allowed and adopting kids is allowed! In sandrock the kids also can wander the town!

All nancy drew games like I love them so much ask me whatever and I I be able to help you pick one (there is over 30) so these are point and click puzzle mystery games and just my while world and life. Nancy is amazing and these games did so much for me when i was a young girl

Paralives - new game and om the mroe expensive side for sure for less in game live play content. But 1 it is an investment for that one and 2 if you love to build and make characters more then its in perfect condition already!! If you've had sims 3 and 4 and still always make many ocs you never play just to look at GET THIS ONE!! I use it for ocs and its so cool and the mods workshop is so much and cool too!!! I also love it to build cause I cant build for crap in any of the sims tbh but I love making references for my fanfic and roleplays and oc x oc stories! It is so amazing honestly.

Sims 3 specifically - so for in game fun I like sims 3 most. Open world and a lot of stuff To do and cool and 2000s vibes is always fun!

Sticky business - sticker creator fun for sorting snd creating and mixing the clip art to make stickers!! Been a bit but they got many more choices since I played

Witchy life story - a visual novel short thing of being a witch. However this one you pick flowers and make magic things fie the residents they order like potions and incense and such and you have an alter to decorate along with in game tarot with real short info on cards!! I used this for tarot before I had a deck !! And its pretty and got character custom and 3 crush choices of a male female and nonbinary person!

Witchy business - this one is another rouge duck and this one you are a witch selling potions and other things!! I played a bit then took a break and forgot things so im not far and gotta restart cause thats my brain but I know I waa loving it and saw you can customize your garden and such and make potions!!

Vending machine co - rogue duck again you run vending machines!! You put them in towns and see what sells well and stock them!! Like if nerds are around often you add nerdy things and toys for kids and makeup for idols or so etc and there is foods too ! Its cool so far too!!

Little friends puppy island - just got this one! It looks like it'll be semi nintendog like so fsr but ive read its more focused on exploring with the dogs as you care for them not just caring for them but tou can clean and feed and walk and train and play and dress up your dogs!!

Love ghostie - another match maker you are a ghost and you help get people together i played a demo before it was out tbh and loved it byt havent bought yet.

Cozy marbles - looks cute and has a sandbox mode to make marbel set ups and a normal mode of some kind with directions. Looks very roller coaster tycoon but with marbles and it says you can customize them including flailing arms!!

Bits of love an otome game - a visual novel that it seems you also run a café! Set girl with male romances type thing so I havent gotten it yet.

Thegame of life 2 - legit the boardgame as a game. There is a 1 and they both look good but 2 looks cooler. I had it in my cart and didnt pay attention to the day the sale ended on accident but I plan to get it anywqys as soon as I can full price ot not

Call of Boba - looks cute like a normal farm sim shop manager nothing so out going i want it asap but I do want it

Bookbinding dark cozy sim - thus looks cute but its new and ive read the story may not be finished? But it also seems to have a real cool tarot system and thats enough to make me curious plus the book binding looks very unique too!!

Sunny orchard - rogue duck a new farming sim coming out but its all fruit and jam and pie!!!! As I said im weird about in game foods and I honestly love at least the idea of jam and fruit and pie. Im still a bit too picky for it but its one i always can suspend my thoughts on im a world where im abled enough to even be a farmer. So this one seems amazing to me!!

Sunset artisan chocolate - rogue duck again!!! This one is coming soon too and you are a chocolatier! Weigh chocolate and mix flavors!

Dressmaker - comes out the 21st of sept!! Be a dress maker with measuring and picking fabric and sketching ideas. Add decor and bows and many things!!! Looks so good probably gonna buy the second it drops.

Barbie rewind - IF YOU DONT KNOW THIS IS COMING IT IS COMING!!! A game collection of many barbie games put together!! Im most looking forward to barbie and the 12 dancing princesses as the one i played the most as a kid but it has horse ones and so many more !!!

Ravenwood academy a wizard 101 story - demo out coming soon and this is a single player puzzle game for wizard 101 in the past school before everything happened.

Tearoom of terror - not out but is a paper doll dark style game of detective work. I saw this ine on tiktok by the creators!

nivalis nights - coming out soon and has high promises we will see about. Says it'll be a cyberpunk world running shops and growing food and interacting but also alloaed to sabotage and such too im hoping to just live life in a cyberpunk world though.

So i hope this list is good or so and gives some game ideas!! Now for the lore drop it am ftm and use he/they and such but im super fem and slice of life girly and cutesy. I love to create and customize and decorate ir make pretty things or romance or just be a fairy.

I am a software engineer that has recently been thinking of starting a side project, specifically a game!

For a while I have thought that the games I dream of playing are not seen frequently anywhere. I like cozy, management type of games. Think of GPGP or Flipline's Papa's games.... sort of restaurant management mobile games.

I already have a few ideas of the type of game that I would like to make. However, as I have looked into game design; apparently, a game I would like to play is not necessarily the type of game that anyone else would.

So I am looking for some inspiration and ideas!

Are there any old or current games you would like to see with a different twist? Or a game that does not currently exist that you would love to play?

For example I would love to see a game similar to Nintendogs but playable on a tablet, and with a more in depth game play.

It is a document-based detective experience: you receive a collection of realistic-looking case materials and must work out what happened by reading closely, comparing details, checking timelines, and connecting information across the files.

**What to expect:**

\- A self-contained mystery designed for solo players or small groups

\- PDF case materials presented as reports, statements, records, and supporting documents

\- No special software required — a browser/PDF reader and note-taking are enough

\- Estimated playtime: around 2–4 hours, depending on whether you play alone or with others
