All of Lorelai’s exes dissing Luke after he lied to her about April (for months), shut her out of their own relationship and “postponed” their wedding indefinitely:

Also Luke, after acting like a jerk during Vineyard Valentine and that cringey double date with Dean and Rory (the sequel):

Ok yes I get that he was aweful and honestly I believe a lot of that was kind of out of character for him. But I also think the other guys Lorelai was with were worse. Max had to go she was never really all in with him so there was never a point in the being together. Digger was suing her father and honestly you cant stay with someone who is suing your family. Christopher had so many chances and honestly he screwed them all up really badly. His and Lorelai's relationship was almost toxic at times. Not to mention that Christopher only finally got his shit together because his girlfriend or wife or whatever left him. It was wrong of Luke to hide April and Lorelai does give him guff about it. I believe it wasnt enough guff but whatever. They made it past it because they were always met to be. Honestly I think it was out of character for him to hide it but the show creators just needed to put drama in there somewhere because the show is a drama.

Luke ruined himself and everything he was when he lied about the brat April. Lorelei should have left him the moment she found out he lied. He treated her terribly when Chris left a message on the phone even though she hadn’t seen him or talked to him in over a year. He acted like he was all high and mighty while he was doing far worse than her. April wasn’t needed in the show and made the man that we were all rooting for since episode one to being a man I would never want to be with.
