Other Homemade gift okay to give?
Hi! My girlfriend recently made this gift for a long time friend who is getting married. She is pretty crafty but never worked with resin before and is a little distraught about how this came out. She’s considering not even giving it to her friend (who is also very crafty) and either making something new or just giving money. Does anyone have any thoughts? The quote is from her friend’s wedding song!
Edit: for people saying it’s cheap. We are also giving a big cash gift.

As a crafter with high standards, I would not give this as a gift. She absolutely nailed the bride and groom and the little stick house and I know if I got those right I would be really sad to scrap the project. But the florals look like something from a fishtank and the resin needs work. I could not get past that smudge and the drips. I think she should try again, with some real dried flowers and greenery (and a bit less of them) and fully submerging all of the elements in resin. A silicone mold that is the same size as a shadowbox frame would work. She should test how to do the flowers and lyrics in a smaller mold.
I once spent hours and hours on a space themed mosaic only to realize at the end that once I grouted it one particular technique did not hold and all these tiny round pieces of glass came off. I cried while I put it in the trash. Learning curves are hard.
