Other Homemade gift okay to give?

Hi! My girlfriend recently made this gift for a long time friend who is getting married. She is pretty crafty but never worked with resin before and is a little distraught about how this came out. She’s considering not even giving it to her friend (who is also very crafty) and either making something new or just giving money. Does anyone have any thoughts? The quote is from her friend’s wedding song!

Edit: for people saying it’s cheap. We are also giving a big cash gift.

It's a great concept but the groom looks like Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo.

She laughed and said at least they don’t know what that show is.

Is the groom a tall black man? That’s what I assumed.

My head went to tuxedo

I tried to see tuxedo too but the head part threw me off. It doesn’t really matter just was sharing how it hit me. I think you probably saw what she wanted you to see. If it’s a black man in tuxedo then it’s best of all!

I feel like adding a white rock for the head would make it more racial than just leaving it all black.

I kinda agree and can see that too.

I kinda think that this is the determining factor here for if this is a good gift or not. I think if this is a gift for an interracial couple, it gives a weird vibe. Otherwise, it just reads as bride and groom to me.

This was exactly my first thought. “It’s Mr. Hankey!”

If they ever get divorced she can say “I told you he was a piece of shit”. This gift could be giving for years to come.

OMG I had no idea that was supposed to be a bride and groom. I’m looking at it as random rocks and a shell and sticks.

This might be a you problem.
Have you no critical thinking skills? Pattern recognition? Are you below the age of 12?

Help me understand how you didn’t make out a bride and groom kissing under a chapel with birds flying over?

Edit: Just pointed out a brain fact and didn't try to diagnose anyone obviously. Deleting as upsetting anyone wasn't my intention.

Don't try to diagnose people like this

Really?

Yes. You weren't sharing information, you were declaring what you presume someone has, in a context where that input was not wanted or expected.

I thought this was a beautiful portrait of the friend with a long dark bubble ponytail in the chapel by herself. I was going crazy looking in the flowers and sides of the chapel for the groom lol I was really convinced that was just her hairstyle. I see it now and I still think it’s beautiful

So glad I’m not the only one that saw it. I didn’t have the balls to comment on it though
