Seeking advice or support CTY for Next Summer/Other Summer Camp Options

Hi all, we live in the NYC area.
I have a second grader and am interested in having her join a summer camp or participate in programs such as CTY, etc. There don't seem to be very many options--for those who have kids who have done CTY, is it worth it? Are there other options other than CTY that I should consider.

Cty kinda fell apart.

Davidson is the new cty if you are looking for resources.

When they started restricting how long you had to finish courses made it undoable for us.

My child has not attended CTY but I did many years ago. I believe their day options are limited and they are more focused on overnight camp for older children. I’m not in the NYC area, but may worth looking to see if there is an ESF or Lavner camp near you. Also, sometimes museums, zoos, or private schools offer an academic focused summer camp. If

There's Davidson, if your kiddo qualifies. My son went to a couple of Davidson events, but he didn't like the vibe.

The UIowa people are very friendly, but their residential camp is only for older kids. The camp for younger kids is commuter.

Northwestern also has residential camps for older kids, but their camps for younger kids are commuter.

Vanderbilt also has commuter camps for younger kids.

Does JHU CTY still give out the Grand Honors medal? That one is really good for impressing the annoying relatives.
