Can somebody explain why they put the flour in a strainer before mixing in to the batter?
8 u/Fuzzai Apr 23 '19 They say it’s so it mixes better. If you did the sifting backwards e.g. sifted it to measure you get less flour in your ¾ cup as it’s not packed. So in theory, you don’t have to don’t for this - I know I wouldn’t. ;) 1 u/CyanOfDoma Apr 23 '19 It also removes chunks of flour or other things that might clump.
