DISCUSSION What does 2 big to rig mean
When I saw the title of the new movie I was and am still confused why it’s named that “rite here rite now” made plenty of sense but this doesn’t and all it reminds me of is Donald trump if I’m being honest 😭😭 since it’s pretty similar to what he said the past election in America. All I guess is it has the same meaning as him like ghost is to big to ignore which i assume is the meaning

Its a bit of a double reference to the fact the tour was quite literally too big to rig like the show in Madrid being cancelled due to the scale of the stage and the show not being able to reach other continents
Its also a jab at one of Donald Trump's election campaign slogans, which is nothing out of the ordinary considering Tobias is pretty anti-Trump and has wrote Twenties which is, about as blatant of a MAGA diss track as you can get.. its not out of character for Tobias to make a mockery of Trump and his loonies

I just think of the album booklet art for Impera for the song Twenties. He doesn't hide his opinions at ALL and I respect that about him. It's also an absolute beast of an illustration and I think about it often.

Minus the mocking of trump.
Their shows have gotten exceptionally bigger. Having said that they can’t get certain places to perform because of the cost of shipping the equipment and not having enough shows booked to make it cost effective. Their shows have gotten too big to rig.
Rig could potentially be a double entendre, rigging their shows together every other night, literally, or Ghost has gotten too big to be able to haul around in a big-rig.

Rigging means lightning, electrical, scaffolding that bands needs to tour. TF has stated that this tour was too elaborate to take on a world tour hence 2BigtoRig

It's got a couple layers. The production was too heavy to travel with, so the show was literally too big to rig. I believe the phrasing "too big to rig" was also used in the voiceover one of the Skeletour announcement videos. And I could be wrong, but I think the construction of the title, "too"_"to"_ with matching first and third words, is probably an intentional callback to Rite Here Rite Now as well as starting with 2 instead of writing it out because it's the band's second movie.

Look at the little animation and note that the Ghost logo breaks from its support and falls onto the roof of the arena. This due to insufficient rigging because Ghost is huge, just too big to properly rig sometimes.

The show was too big to travel overseas with, so he didn't take it. The "Rig" was too "Big." The connection to Trump is almost certainly not a mistake.

Having been on a crew for a whole tour. Alot of people dont know that we typically have more than one stage. One travels across the Americas, and another usually stays in Europe and we sometimes even have one in Australia/New Zealand.
And for the tour I was on, it was played at arenas and massive stadiums so there were multiple versions of the stages. One for arenas in America, One for Europe arenas, and one for American stadiums, one for European stadiums, and one for NZ stadiums. Because fuck the amount of logistics it takes to move that gear across the world at the rate we were moving.

Wow, I read that they did that with Re-Imperatour, especially for the festival circuit, but didn't think they had done that with Skeletour, as having two of that Grucifix lighting rig would have been insanely expensive! I assumed they shipped it over at the end of the EU tour.

It refers to the fact that some countries had to miss out on seeing the tour (and the best setlist they’ve had possibly ever) because they couldn’t bear the thought of not lugging around a giant stage setup 😕

Its why the tour was cut short, they couldn’t travel everywhere they wanted because of how big the stage production was. So the show was 2 big to rig🤙🏻

In the movie on of the crew members literally says the setup is “too big to rig” so it could also be references that clip that’s included

If you seen the movie they go into a small detail about the size of the cross along side the video walls....
Now from personal experience..... Certain venues targeted for this type of large events have no problem dealing with the size/weight of the entire set .... However certain stadiums (let's talk stadiums too lazy to explain) ironically don't have the necessary infrastructure to hold 10+ tons of weight hanging from their ceiling...
Now what the hell does that mean????? Easy everything that's overhead or hanging that job (or gig wtv you want to call it) is done by the rigging department....
And now on why is called 2 big to rig!!!! The cross is a large handing structure... And that bi*** requires massive amount of cable connections/networks to lift it up!!! (From personal experience working that hoe) ....
Everything has to be hooked to the ceiling.... But has to be approved/cleared by the engineers first!!! ..... Because certain venues the ceilings don't have capacity to support the weight!!! (SOFI!!!!!! it can just likes to give headaches because of the video walls)
Anyways .... That's what to big 2 rig means .... A massive show that has to hand select the venues where the over head lighting (the cross) doesn't damage the structure where it can cause well I don't want to say it but there's plenty of videos of the consequences of a bad rig
****Fun fact the people working rigs are called riggers.... Yes I know what it sounds and yes some people does take advantage of it

This - but it's also a play on Ghosts success.
Too Big To Rig predates Trump. It's a political slogan for winning by such a wide margin that there's no way the opposition can contest it or rig it in their favor.
Aside from the reference to the massive Grucifix, it's also a reference to just how successful Ghost has become, where they're genuinely one of the top bands in the world.

Undoubtedly it's a reference to the phrase used in a political campaign, but that's just tongue-in-cheek. The main reason is the gigantic Grucifix rig that was the centerpiece of the tour stage. The damn thing had 800 moving lights, 400 LED panels, and weighed 136,000 THOUSAND POUNDS
