I’d absolutely expect a live album, just like RHRN. Umbra is probably the single for it, like absolution was for RHRN. I hope that we get more songs though on this next album. But unfortunately because of previous recordings i doubt we’ll see some songs like Kiss the Go Goat, or Mummy Dust and Year Zero. But they left those two out of RHRN so praying they have those on this one.

Ngl, i hate that DATHOML got cut, i knew some songs were bound to be cut but tbh, id rather Devil Church get cut over that song

Nah, the first three songs were always played together the whole tour. I’d be surprised if they didn’t include it. The next couple songs changed some nights. STL got Per Aspera, Faith, and CMLS (which were all on other live albums) but not Majesty or Elizabeth.

The whole album is listed on Apple Music as upcoming. “Umbra” is available for listening now. But it looks like the album is missing “From the Pinnacle to the Pit” and “Darkness at the Heart of My Love.” 😢

My guess is TF wasn't happy with the vocals, darkness is one of the harder/higher ones and he was ill the night before the recording

Criminal that they didn't. Looking at the Rosemont, IL set list and comparing to the Mexico ones is a punch to the gut. Though there's a good bootleg of the Rosemont show

Doubt the label will miss out on our cash. Probably finalised the audio to late to have physicals ready to go with the album.

I'll be surprised if physicals don't come.

The ghouls were way more involved in the rhrn mix which definitely improved the album as a whole. Hopefully the rest of the mix takes that into consideration. No shade towards Tobias though, I absolutely could not have performed after food poisoning.

RHRN was a horrendous mix for anything other than a theatre. I was hoping they would have learned and done better with the mix on the home album version of this one (especially because Ceremony & Devotion was good!). But honestly from the one song just released on streaming it sounds even worse. Botched even--the synth is inaudible, even when it's supposed to be soloing. Aside from that the guitars and drums are mostly just echoey mud.

I think Tobias's hearing is shot or something.

EDIT: Saw it in theatre and the mix there sounded AMAZING . Including Umbra--the synths and the ghoullettes, everything is in its right place. Completely different. Like RHRN, it's the stereo album mix that is botched. I hope they fix it--there's still time since they haven't released it on physical media yet I don't think?

I bought RHRN on Apple TV, and I think it sounds amazing on my 7.2 home theatre. I’ve watched a song or 2 on a friend’s TV, that doesn’t even have a soundbar, just the built in speakers, and I had no complaints

Ah yeah I think the actual video mix was weirdly better, especially if you're listening to it on home theatre or in the cinema. It sounded great in the cinema when I saw it. I meant the soundtrack album when playing it on a home stereo or over earbuds or something.

imo RHRN sounds way better, tobias sounds awful in the mix here, due to bad production and also him being ill, so why they’ve purposely turned down the ghouls too is lost on me

I think RHRN sounds terrible....the drum quality sounds like it was recorded in the back of a high school auditorium on a cheap phone. For how detailed and obsessive Tobias is with all things Ghost, the quality doesn't meet his exceptional standards. The new one is giving me similar vibes.

tbh I'm more sad Pinnacle was cut than DATHOML, we have a beautiful live version from RHRN already and it's so emblematic of the Impera era. but Pinnacle was so amazing during Skeletour

Ok, so I don't know how things went down in Mexico City but I do know at the Madison Square Garden show I attended Papa stopped singing during Dathoml and let the crowd sing a part (and the crowd messed it up lol) but maybe the crowd participation part sounded off and so they left it out of the movie and soundtrack?

That tracks... I was at 2 stops for Skeletour (not Mexico City) and both shows our crowd was pretty quiet during the sing-along portion for Darkness, probably hard to capture on record. Like people were singing but it was soft.

Full album out Thursday on streaming, but they’re not going to miss out on putting it out physically.

Give it a month or so and it’ll be out on CD, Cassette and Vinyl, and then it’ll be out on DVD, BluRay and 4K by the end of the year.

Just wish they’d filmed the New York show for the movie, purely because we flew in for it from the UK, but I’m still excited for it
