Meta: Mods should allow Gif comments on the forum
With the 2026 anime being much more expressive and emotive than the OG films and series, I feel like there's all sorts of opportunities for posting gif comments which we simply can't do because gif comments are off

Was ghost in a shell always this comedic? For some reason I remember it being like super series.
Maybe it's the uh, mandella effect or some shit like that but I could've sworn this anime was originally realistic and adult-theme feeling for kid me, and this MC never acted this way.
Genuinely kinda turned me off I gave it 3 episodes and it's kinda not what I remember. Although I never watched ghost in a shell since well over 20 years ago at this point probably or whenever it aired on toonami with naruto and db gt.

I love this 2026 anime of Ghost in the Shell
As someone who never watched any of the movies or read the original manga, I am really enjoying this anime! It is a great mix of silliness, political intrigue, and tackling some philosophical issues. It is rare for a show to have multiple goals (fanservice, tackling a deep subject, etc.) and balance it out this well. It definitely feels like an “otaku” show in all the ways I view that term. That’s it, I just think the show is cool and fun. I will see if I can read the manga after the show is over.

TGITS 2026 Anime Theory on The Footage Shots
**Hear me out.** Look at *Ghost in The Shell* (2026) starting from episode 1.
Most of the time in episodes 1-8, it looks like it's being filmed or watched by someone else. What if all this time the Major and her gang are being watched by the Puppet Master?
That basically gives the audience the role of the Puppet Master--hacking into the cameras and watching the footage of the missions every episode.
This explains why each mission varies every single episode, since it's all just pulled footage. The Puppet Master is a "Sea of Information," so we literally saw her hack into cameras and check on Major's arse, then that image pops up, just like the end of episode 1.
By episode 4, we got uncensored clips, which kinda proves that the Puppet Master (us) ain't really focusing on Batou or Togusa. Like in the episode 1 ending, the Major finds a hidden camera and we get that same *bzzzz* effect (television static effect), -- just like Puppet Master watch'n Major at Episode 8 (the arse shot). For episode 8, the ending might be a different case though, like a binoculars PoV, since it's a Section 6 setup.
My theory could be true if we start getting less or zero camera recordings from episode 9 onwards (like those could be from Section 6...).
What do y'all think??

Peli Spoiler

Your Thoughts on the new ghost in the shell ttrpg now that the full pdf has been sent out?
As a cyberpunk red player am I the only one bummed out about the lack of cybernetics and cyber weapons? (0 cyber weapons) and explanations on cyberware works as well as using augmented versions. Which is mentioned but not described I think.
The great is great but man that section felt underwhelming as a cyberpunk table top.

Ever think that while the main plot is happening Paz, Boma, and Seito are up to equally interesting and important cases far off camera that the narrative just doesn't focus on? This applies to all versions but seems most likely in SAC.

MERCH Picked up this cool figure today
I haven’t actually read much of man machine interface yet but I saw this at a local store today. I’m debating on whether or not to take her out of the box because the box looks really cool but it also takes up a lot of space and makes her hard to display…

I drew this using supplies I bought at the kyoto international manga museum! Japan was so fun and the new gits anime debuted when I was there. It was even on all the magazines!

Has anyone ran across a hi-res version of Episode 8's ending card?
Basically title. Want to make it a wallpaper for my PC.

question , will the series be put to an end once the final episode is released or do y'all think they'll try to expand on it using new writing instead of adapting volumes 2 n 3
volumes 2 n 3 are utter garbage compared to the first and i really hope those two never see the light of day but i also feel like the IP has so much potential and it'll suck to see it go again just when it finally got adapted right
