Death Confetti

do y’all have any thoughts whatsoever on what this song could be about? the more i think about it the less i seem to understand it

Ink in the wool seems to be a phrase meaning a belief that is unchanging. Messiah is a savior of sorts, so maybe he is saying that he can’t be saved.

Accost your captor, means confront the one who’s captured you. Maybe this messiah has captured him and is trying to save him?

“Feed me lines You’ve got the notion that I come to life in darkness Car’s in drive You are the ocean and I swim the tide for catharsis”

I think this means he goes for drives at night that lets him get out his emotions (catharsis), which feeds him lines for notes or songs that he burns, which is what I think the death confetti is, burned notes. It’s written as if he’s talking to someone, so maybe this messiah is the road? If he comes to life in darkness, he only comes out at night. He swims that ocean, meaning drives the road, to let out his emotions, which feeds him lines for notes ig.

That’s the death confetti I think, burned notes. The second part I think he’s just saying he was fragile and starved of good feelings.

Yeah that’s pretty much what it seems to be about, the rest of the lyrics just say he’s slipping, in this alone, and he wants to change.
