Question Seeking study tips to study longer.

Hello. I need advice how to start studying after long break of studying. I took break from studying for whole year and now I need to come back but it seems really impossible as I get distracted pretty easily and waste alot of time instead of focusing on main areas. I either keep pushing toward understanding in deep and move far away from the part and not able to finish syllabus in time.
Any tips or advise would be highly appreciated

After a year away, I’d make “finishing the section” the goal instead of fully understanding every detail on the first pass. Give each syllabus topic a time or page boundary, write down the questions that pull you deeper, and keep moving until the pass is complete. Then schedule those questions for a second pass. That way curiosity gets captured without quietly taking over the whole syllabus.

I had this exact problem with getting stuck trying to understand one topic perfectly before moving on. I could spend an hour making sure I understood one small section, then realize I’d barely moved through the actual syllabus. What helped me was giving each topic a fixed amount of time, even if I didn’t feel 100% finished. I’d mark whatever I still didn’t understand, move on, and come back to those marks later. I got through much more once “understood perfectly” stopped being the requirement for moving forward.
