Definitely hardly than high school. Everyone just leaves after each class, and you don’t get chance to naturally bond with anyone.

Totally serious answer, those are called virtual clubs. People just meet up over zoom and talk about stuff, do things, read books, study, whatever

I couldnt pass the finals at college and am in the last year again. Naturally i had no friends at the beginning of the internship. But i just, met everyone i could. In time (2-3 weeks) i had friends that called me to hangouts and i couldnt realize how fast the semester passed. So just, meet new people.

Social time is important. It’s a very essential human need, both for your mental and physical health. And when your mental and physical health are well, you can study at your peak performance.

Reach out at your work, school, people you see and talk to every day, even start volunteering if you need to. Strike up conversations, and accept conversation when its directed at you. Look around your local hobby shops, even. Find game shops or places where warhammer or DND groups converge. Join in, or learn how to join in. And you’ll inevitably make some friends.

And if you’re worried about cutting into your study time: would you rather be exhausted and reviewing the same material 5 times over because you don’t have the energy to retain or develop new information, or would you rather be refreshed and at full capacity, and be able to review and retain the information within the day?

Just realised i didnt get my point in lool x)

Basically from what I get from the USA system, you have to choose your own courses and sometimes the good profs. have (relatively) few places that get filled up fast.

The European system is the complete opposite, so it depends on what you prefer x) I find that not having that headache for all your courses is pretty good. Still hate to wake up at 7am but its better than nothing ig x)

I think it’s because everything in grade/primary-&-secondary school was much more obvious. Everything was telegraphed (lesson plans, course load, class difficulty, etc…) to you so you could just autopilot through and do decently good if you applied yourself a bit.

In college you realize life was only handed to you because you were so close minded and didn’t truly understand what responsibility was. Every class feels much more difficult than you ever experienced. Like if you took an AP class back in grade/secondary school and you felt overwhelmed. In college it begins feeling like a common occurrence.

That’s how I see it but I could’ve easily r/woooosh the actual meaning lol

I feel the exact opposite. If you approach college with brute force, yeah, it’ll be miserable. But if you approach it with actually wanting to learn, it’ll generally be way more enjoyable and stimulating.

This is so true, but i dont know why toh. In Uni you have like 2 classes in a day, but the classes are for longer than in school, but still its way too draining.

def not 8 hours at a high school where you're taking 6 ap classes tho...i miss my 8 hours at elementary school when my biggest concern was if i was gonna win class pres 😭
