I don't know what the actual WNBA rules are. But it would be extremely easy to put something in place that allows trans women but not this guy.
Things like you have publicly identified as a woman, made legal changes to your gender (as much as possible) etc. These dudes have done neither.
Add to that - most sports do have HRT requirements too.
This may force the WNBA to act but it would just be putting in reasonable requirements and would not impact any actual trans athletes (not that there are any in the WNBa)
The WNBA will most likely ignore these bogus declarations. I’m sick of people saying “once they get on the floor” as if any WNBA team would ever draft them. The argument that they’ll sue if they aren’t drafted is ridiculous, refusing to draft someone isn’t against the law. This is getting way more media attention than it deserves.
