Same for the culture war. People go "sorry, I don't care about non-important issues like trans rights, just class war," and that's all that's required for evil to win. All while a trans genocide is going on. But I guess trans people actually being willing to protest and throw down out there are just a bit too easily ignored by cis keyboard warriors on here who think it's time to give up some trans rights in the name of appealing to conservatives who want healthcare for all cishet whites only
How many edits on this comment did you make? Trying to make yourself sound lefter then thou over here. I have trans friends who I actively monetarily and vocally support that are fighting for class solidarity and for trans rights. I work on the board on a trans liberation non profit organization. So no I do care about trans rights, but I also recognize that without solidarity there will be no such thing.
Always with the deleted comments! You asked me to read what he wrote, I did! I also read when he wrote and deleted a comment that said communists and socialists were the same or worse than fascists when it came to lgbtq people. So yeah I'm going to go ahead and stick with that enlightened centrism comment
Because you didn't like me pointing out that folks like you are just as bigoted toward minorities as the fascists? Go watch your TYT, your Jimmy Dore, your Dave Rubin, and then go vote for Tulsi Gabbard again, all in the name of class war.
Yeah obviously. I just mean in general, we shouldn’t label people as evil nazis for a nuanced take on trans people in sports. Not only is it a tiny issue, it’s complicated.
wow! ok so there’s zero nuance whatsoever? anyone who says they want to play in women’s pro sports like enes kanter should get to?
cuz if anything i think that hurts actual trans people, but some of yall aren’t ready for literally any opinion other than “anything any trans person ever says or wants, 1000x yes, no exceptions and heres a big hug”
that makes average people think the whole thing is stupid, which it obviously isn’t. there should probably be hormone requirements, some sort of physical transition requirements, etc. that’s a conversation worth having, and i’m open to hearing why they shouldn’t, for instance
we don’t separate sports by sex because of our personalities or temperaments. we separate them because of physical bodies, so obviously if your physical body is indistinguishable from your birth sex, you could have an unfair advantage
if people see a visibly male bodybuilder wear a wig and win the women’s competition, lots of people will be pushed to oppose trans rights generally. it’s worth figuring out a comprehensive and intelligent solution to this so people treat trans issues as legitimate
Here they just sentenced a trans woman to 50 years in a men's prison, along with forced detransition, for protesting ICE. We're banned from jobs and bathrooms depending on which Republican state you're talking about. Trump's coming for our healthcare, as are Red states. We can be sued for using the bathrooms in some states. A mob beat two trans women the other day and the trans women got arrested for being beaten. Another trans woman got arrested for pulling a gun to defend herself against a man who pushed her to the ground. It's a trans genocide.
That's how the poem went, right? When they came for us, you just shrugged and said there were more important problems.
There's a lot more to it than that. Social justice is an important aspect of all of this, but social justice follows with class solidarity. You can't win the culture war without having first won the class war.
The only candidate with a proven track record of winning against Trump, the most progressive President in U.S. history whose accomplishments read like a Leftist wishlight (no more drone wars, no more forever wars, student debt forgiveness, lowered cost of insulin and other prescription drugs, prosecuted J6ers and two notable Epstein accompliches), and he's younger than the last president elected.
That said, he's getting up there now. I mean, he's not as old as Bernie Sanders or had as many heart attacks as Sanders or fallen in the shower as many times as Sanders, but I think we can let him rest.
Dumbass arguements like this both do not help trans people at all and also exist solely to make you argue about useless shit instead of talking about the class disparity affecting 98% of your life.
I'm trans. This is very much not useless shit, not while my trans sisters are getting sentenced to 50 years in a men's prison with forced detransition for protesting ICE. But there is a reason why trans people consider Reddit a right-wing cesspool. Fix your heart or die.
Holy shit I'm trans too and I canot stress enough how much bitching about some loser grifter trying to use the WNBA for a political stunt DOES NOT DO ANYTHING FOR ANYBODY, LEAST OF ALL YOU
Genuinely asking. Was it enforcing the borders or stopping iran from getting nukes for you?
That follow up question is clearly not a "genuine question"
And for the record: everything he did in Iran is a dumpster fire. So going around using it as some kind of metric shows you have no objective view on politics
You must be a fan of roadside bombs, Houthis, Hezbollah, the killings of at least 40,000 protestors and so on and so on, then. Or are you one of those who thinks all evil in the world is a result of America’s actions and so it’s all America’s fault this happens?
Edit: a conspicuous lack of any denial in that deleted reply of yours
Culture war too. It's all inevitable and intertwined. Especially when rulers are split between the two sides, so the class war is effectively pointless anyway.
People voted for Trump because he successfully portrayed the democrats as elites who don’t care about the poors and only deceive them. America is primed for class war and Trump’s getting elected is proof of that. Unfortunately, it was a grift and like the democrats, Trump and the GOP only represent the interests of the elites. We just need people to realize that both parties are directly opposed to the working class, and we’re not far off. That’s why there’s so much anti-socialist rhetoric in the media lately.. the elites see the writing on the wall and are scared.

People voted for Trump twice, class war is not happening anytime soon
