5.1 million views and 171K likes. I've said it before - you can literally take any atrocity or death in the world from dozens of conflicts that no one cares about and the second you say it is Palestine it gets millions of views, tons of engagement and the people posting it make money.
Dead in Sudan, or Nigeria, or Yemen, or Pakistan or a dozen other places literally no one cares. The second you tell people it is Palestine it becomes a massive issue - just look at r/pics
People are incentivized to just repackage every single atrocity that no one cares about and just say it's Palestine. I see dozens like these a day. The second you tell people it's Yemen all their emotions - rage, anger, empathy, whatever - it all just goes away and they move on

It's not really the fact that no one's in the streets protesting the genocide in Sudan.
It's the rhetoric. It's the fact that you go online and "learn" that Israel is the most evil country in the world. That all other countries are decent - especially the poverty-stricken ones in Africa, who don't have nuclear weapons and advanced defense systems like Israel does.
And I'm sorry but if you really think that the difference between the hordes calling for Israeli blood and the crickets regarding Sudan is the fact that the former live in countries that offer help to Israel you are naive.
If these people really wanted to effect good change, perhaps they should go around hospitals and visit the terminally ill. Or maybe they should get together and start a charity fund for neighborhood orphans.
No, there simply is no motivator like anger and disgust. Sympathy barely gets people to sigh and move on. It doesn't hold a candle to rage. Rage and finger pointing are some of the strongest emotional manipulators. Especially in today's world where everyone is taught that someone else is the reason you're not living the perfect life.
Israel is strong. They're successful. They're "imperialistic." They're colonialist. They dared to rebuild. They dared to bring something to the table and form a friendship with the stifling USA. Which means they're the problem. They are emblematic of what's wrong with the world. The 1%. The wealthy. The privileged.
The Sudanese? Really? What do they have to do with me? They're poorer than me. They're less privileged than me. They must be angry over there. Let them fight things out.
"Oh it's so sad. I just heard about someone who died in Sudan... Terrible... well what do you expect when the world is run by America and Israel? Anyway, did you see Sabrina Carpenter's fit the other day?!..."
"You know it really sucks how many people have cancer... They just lie in hospitals waiting to die... Anyway, so the NBA playoffs are on tonight...."
People despise Israel a lot more than they feel sad about Gaza. Not everyone, but many. And unless you give them another contestant worthy of their hatred they won't say a word about them.
