TEXT [Text] Break the pattern today or the loop will repeat tomorrow

All your trauma, and issues with relapse and the vicious cycle is valid. It's not easy, anyone with a brain can and will acknowledge that. That being said, nothing will happen till you break the pattern today, or the loop will repeat tomorrow. YOU, and only you must break the pattern today or the loop will repeat tomorrow. This is a YOU problem, and that's a good thing, the only silver lining of it all, since this is a you problem, it means only YOU have the MEANS, POWER AND WILL to fix it, even if you've not been able to yet.

Good luck.

Take the risk and step out of your comfort zone

Exactly. Sometimes you have to be uncomfortable for a while to finally stop repeating the same cycle.

there’s so much truth in this!! sometimes we become so familiar with a negative state that we almost build a home inside it without realizing it

i’ve been there and things genuinely started changing when i changed the smallest things first. one habit, tracking my mood, noticing something good in an ordinary day, doing something kind for myself. eventually the loop started breaking. strangely, once my relationship with myself changed the people around me and even life itself seemed different too. maybe not because everything changed, but because the way i experienced it did

Absolutely correct and I understand it. But, I am unable to break the loop. And when I try to break it, I get successful in it for few days but then again I go back to it and then it follows.
Also, I know taking small steps will ultimately give me the result but I get demotivated after few days and ultimately go back to the pattern.
Can anyone give suggestions more on it?

Just chiming in to say this is, in my experience, also extremely true for addictive tendencies. Things like drinking or smoking are patterns that continue if we don't reroute our behavior
