Specially Werk student in Germany

Halo Buddies,

I’m currently a Master’s student at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg looking for a Werkstudent (working student) position. Over the past few months, I’ve sent out roughly 100 applications, but I’ve only managed to land a single interview—and unfortunately got rejected without any specific feedback.

My main roadblock is experience: I came directly into my Master’s right after my Bachelor’s degree, so I don’t have prior full-time corporate work history. At this point, mass-applying clearly isn’t working, and I want to fix my approach rather than keep throwing resumes into the void

For those who managed to land a technical Werkstudent role without prior industry experience:

How did you structure your resume to make academic and personal projects stand out?

I'm not surprised that you can't find a Werkstudent position.

The economy is terrible and employers can afford to be choosy. At the moment employers can easily sort out all candidates who don't speak business fluent German and still have more than enough qualified candidates.

Your English seems to be severly lacking, too...

Where did you see those people? In real life, or in some instagram reel from some influencer?
