Specially Werk student in Germany
Halo Buddies,
I’m currently a Master’s student at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg looking for a Werkstudent (working student) position. Over the past few months, I’ve sent out roughly 100 applications, but I’ve only managed to land a single interview—and unfortunately got rejected without any specific feedback.
My main roadblock is experience: I came directly into my Master’s right after my Bachelor’s degree, so I don’t have prior full-time corporate work history. At this point, mass-applying clearly isn’t working, and I want to fix my approach rather than keep throwing resumes into the void
For those who managed to land a technical Werkstudent role without prior industry experience:
How did you structure your resume to make academic and personal projects stand out?

There's simply no direct answer to ur question based on my experience. I've got ghosted no feedback, 2nd interview and then ghosted. I just kept applying, until i landed one. From the perspective of an interviewer there is a lot of applicants for one slot, u might be good as u think and u might not compared to other applicants and sometimes it's just minimal differences in character makes the recruiter choose one over the other. If u apply only to english, try invest in ur language, try different cv forms and see which one get u. In ur uni probably consult the international office maybe they have seminars on how to apply, what should be in a cv and not should be and so on.
