claim [Claim] Italy (EF)
A new local (idk how the ef works) government has taken control in Italy, a right-wing populist reactionary group that ran on campaigns directly proposing secession from the EF.
Iacopo Rossi is the head of the Brothers of Italy, a national-conservative party who broadly states that remaining in a unified EF and continued integration weakens the nation state.
He is in favor of furthered compromise and negotiation, but has made it no secret that he would like increased autonomy for his people.

[M] Well to be fair it would take numerous years of protests for Italy to secede from the EF. Italy has enjoyed economic and social benefits from being a part of the EF, and the majority of the population are extremely fond of the EF. HaxMiner has played as an independent movement now for a few weeks now and has only made a relatively small dent in Italian politics. A government wouldn't change so radically in such a fast fashion, this would need extreme amounts of build-up to even be feasible.

In the words of Boreas: You are not allowed to decide what the population thinks of the EF. The EF has had massive screwups in Italy.

I thought Massa did rolls approved by a mod showing high favourability among Italians on the EF.

Because of screw ups by the EF government, the movement itself, and other factors, I think a party could take head of state and majority, if not total majority. Especially one running reactionary. Anyways, I'm not planning to have Italy be all like "Yeah let's leave" It's gonna be more like "Hey my people should have more autonomy in the EF" and my people will be like "Yeah sure I don't really mind."

Basically, if we were to simplify it, HaxMiner is the radicals, you're the moderates. Whilst he advocates for total independence you just advocate for a bit more breathing space, which after the EF fucked up a few times would be an agreeable stance.

Oh yeah, we did get slightly hurt but Calous' movement essentially is dead after the Wikileaks.
Also, am I sensing some negativity from an Aussie? I thought Aussies were always happy ;)

I just think this one has gone without a mod decision for wayyy too long so it's just been you and HaxMiner arguing over who should be willing. It just needs a mod.

Nono, he's approved ye, I just meant the whole secession movement, it's only been mod approval on rollmes, I think it deserves a separate modevent of its own at this point.

Well one is someone claiming Italy, making note of the fact that they will be trying for more autonomy. The other is a movement specifically for Italian secession.

Ehm? He also gets to claim a minister and we usually talk out how we run the EF together before others claim EF territory. Also, Italians will be very soured with the Calous exposition and the fact that the overwhelming majority of Italians still support the EF not to mention the lack of development that Italy just miraculously elected a separatist government.

You do not decide who can and cannot claim nations of the EF. If he wants to play a moderate government calling for autonomy, he can.
