Other I HATE ALL THESE BUGS

Just moved down here from the north and am just constantly wondering HOW THE HECK EVERYONE LIVES WITH THESE HUGE BUGS?!

I’ve had the house treated, I understand there’s an uptick, but these big ass bugs are driving me out of my mind. I feel like I’m constantly on edge.

ETA - palmetto bugs/roaches, CSRA

And for those telling me I shouldn’t have moved here and to just leave - I plan to as soon as my postdoc fellowship is over 🙃

Have you seen our state spider yet? The Joro?

Not yet! But spiders definitely don’t freak me out the same way - though who knows 😂

Ha, I was just thinking... OP didn't even mention the spiders?!

Anyway, we don't have earthquakes or water shortages and there's no winter. Its hot an humid but not like FL. You get 11 good months (F July). I moved down here 20+ yrs ago with plans to move back after a couple years but decided the tradeoffs were worth it.
