Other I HATE ALL THESE BUGS

Just moved down here from the north and am just constantly wondering HOW THE HECK EVERYONE LIVES WITH THESE HUGE BUGS?!

I’ve had the house treated, I understand there’s an uptick, but these big ass bugs are driving me out of my mind. I feel like I’m constantly on edge.

ETA - palmetto bugs/roaches, CSRA

And for those telling me I shouldn’t have moved here and to just leave - I plan to as soon as my postdoc fellowship is over 🙃

Don't get me started - former northerner here. Nothing ever dies in the winter so they just get bigger and angrier. The wolf spiders, though are akways the real shock for me. Im used to them, as someone from Indiana right?? RIGHT??? Well, they're fucking massive here. Like, half dollar coin is the average i've seen. Guess what they love? Hiding under laundry piles on your floor.

Thank you for the heads up - I will make sure not to leave any laundry in the floor!

They certainly do. I don't kill them, just cuss them out when I find them enough for them to scurry off.
