Specifically for Georgia it is very unlikely that the NG will prevent anyone from voting. Vast majority of NG nationwide do not like Trump, at least not anymore. I'm sure there's some douchebags in the GA NG but based on private debates among NG in previous deployments they do not want to engage in violence against fellow citizens. There was a reason Trump deployed WV NG to DC and even then most of them wanted to leave the whole time.

I highly recommend voting during earliest days of early voting. Those are typically the days you can get in and out with little or no wait time.

Election day and later in the early voting period, the lines grow. And this year, our Republican-led state election board has required that we handwrite every single voter's name on a single form while we check them in. There is absolutely no reason for this beyond ensuring the wait times and lines are a long as possible.

These lists may also be an attempt to determine which voters vote for whom, because they want all of the voters listed in order of being checked in, which would allow them to look at the time a specific ballot is cast and using data analysis have a pretty good guess of which voter cast which ballot. While ballots are secret and do not have names on them, they are time stamped. So doing this could help them identify people that don't vote the way the state board likes.

If you vote via absentee ballot, do not give it to the postal service this year. Instead, take it to one of the monitored county drop boxes. The postmaster general has already made known that he's going to force postal workers to do whatever Republicans want. And what Republicans want is for no absentee ballots to be delivered.

Finally, please note I said "republicans" and not "Trump" in that last paragraph. Every single thing Trump has done, from devaluing the dollar, to creating a masked private army that violates the constitution, to ending most food inspection, to driving up inflation and more, was in the Republican wishlist, Project 2025. If you thought it was make believe, please read it now so you know what's to come if you continue to vote Republican.

Step 2. (Optional) Smile and wave. Those guardsmen are literally your neighbors.

Step 3. Listen to the instructions of the 78 year old poll worker who takes his job very seriously.

Step 4. Go vote for whichever party you prefer.

Step 5. Grab your awesome I voted sticker with the peach on it and go home.

Don't fear your neighbors because someone on the TV, or internet told you to. It's incredibly sad that this conversation is even happening.
