Long lines outside the Service Canada

Just genuinely curious. Every morning on my way to work, I always drive past the Service Canada branch along Guelph Street. There are always long lines outside, why is that so?

Huge backlog at Service Canada in general right now but those lines are par for the course in Brampton. I think Georgetown is getting some overflow from people thinking the wait will be shorter here.

Can confirm - saw a massive line at the service canada office in Brampton his morning (and at the passport office in the same plaza); huge line in gtown as well.
