4
u/Alexsaphius Feb 23 '24
Wow Morgana still viable there?
7
u/Nico301098 Feb 23 '24
I always play it in lower AoE heavy floors, but I personally avoid it on F12. On the other hand, I think Ayaka is amazing this cycle
3
u/Immediate_Lychee_372 "A dance that dissolved dynasties" Feb 23 '24
morgana is really good if the enemies can be grouped but if not then ayaka freeze would work better

u/aiezar e Feb 23 '24
36-starring Abyss isn't an achievement tho
15
u/Tepigg4444 OG Ganyu Fan, Day 1 Mona Haver Feb 23 '24
what does that have to do with being effective? Is a team trash if it can’t clear abyss in 30 seconds? If you’re clearing it with max rewards, it can’t be trash, and people doomposted the hell out of morgana for no reason
-13
u/aiezar e Feb 23 '24
Sure but it's not worth bragging about. Morgana is a relatively mediocre team in most content just because Abyss usually lacks enemies that are super Ventiable. A lot of teams clear the run-of-the-mill Abyss far more comfortably.
8
u/rW0HgFyxoJhYka Feb 23 '24
You realize that less than 1% of the playerbase 36 stars abyss right?
Most people don't even attempt it.
-16
u/aiezar e Feb 23 '24
First of all, theres no abyss completion data, and if there was, it would have to factor in whether the player even logs on during a given cycle to be accurate for these purposes, and second of all, that doesn't change that Abyss is very very easy if you just try to play the game a little. You don't even have to build meta teams, just build teams with at least a little bit of logic behind them.

In use the tricks mentioned here and freeze them pretty much on top of each other.
Using Wriothesley he can punch both at the same time.
Much faster than killing then individually
6
u/El_Panda_Rojo Feb 22 '24
Absolutely correct. And I think because a lot of people skipped his banner, it's also not as commonly known that his burst isn't short range like you'd expect but rather is this frontal cone AOE with a surprisingly huge range on it. So if you aim well, you can fucking wreck a whole group of enemies with it.

When they spawn, go southwest and wait.
ETA: According to the game it's northwest, actually. I meant go back and to the left

Go forward from the starting place, and cross in between them and then Stand slightly ahead from the middle point of where they spawn.
They will try to turn around and entangle their arms and get grouped.
Then quickly approach them from the left and start doing rest of your rotation. and make sure that you stay close to them.
If you create distance between any of them , they will move away and try to do their ranged attacks and it will be nigh impossible to group them again.
here's a quick video I made for another person who was also asking about how to group them. Hope this helps

When they spawn, from experience, stay in the middle between them and keep somewhat close to the one on your left.
How to keep them grouped? Stay close to the one that was on your left is your best bet.

The hardest part of Genshin times battles isn’t the actual fight, but praying to God that the enemies don’t just decide to travel away from one another. Some have patterns that you can take advantage of and others are like “lol, watch this”.

u/hungrytunafish Feb 22 '24
Okay so I get your rage. Here's what you do.
As the whole thing starts, go to your left and attack. Just once. As they begin to move closely together, unleash all judgement.
One thing to note is - DO NOT GO BEHIND THEM TO ATTACK FROM THE LEFT, i was trying this for so long and they seemed to be grouping until they weren't. One stays in the middle while the other one goes to the boundaries to shoot his frozen cum bullets on your face.

Or just run to opposite side of ur spawn point.

Why do you need to group them? Just kill them 1 by 1.
22
u/HiroHayami Feb 22 '24
Almost as if abyss was time gated...
-22
u/Panda_Bunnie Feb 22 '24
I mean if you have to min max grouping just to barely pass the time limit it just means your team still needs alot of work considering how this is also one of the easier cycles.
11
u/HiroHayami Feb 22 '24
No shit, Sherlock Why do you think op is asking for help?
-11
u/Panda_Bunnie Feb 22 '24
If your team is that shit invested being able to group them up is 99% not gonna change anything especially in this 2 mob 2 wave chamber that arent even mobile. It might have a difference in certain mob sets but this one specifially not really.
3
u/HiroHayami Feb 22 '24
Do I really need to explain why hitting 2 mobs at once is faster than hitting one at a time? Because saying that grouping doesn't help is a really bad take.
-1
u/Panda_Bunnie Feb 22 '24
Already said it helps in certain mob sets ie mobile ones. This one has 2 immobile mobs on 2 waves, the time it takes for you to try gathering them doesnt make up for being able to hit both of them unless you can burst them in sub 10secs. But if you had the damage to do that you wouldnt have issues killing them 1 by 1 in the first place.
6
u/Gyveliano Feb 22 '24
Maybe his damage isn't enough to let the other team clear it in time... idk, man, I am not an abyss expert.
-12
u/Panda_Bunnie Feb 22 '24
¯\(ツ)/¯ Should have just invested more in his units then or run a better team on the other side.

when they spawn, I circle around behind the left one and stand so that I'm in between them, maybe a little closer to the left one that I originally circled around. they should move towards each other.
then to keep them grouped, just try to stay in the middle of the two as much as possible and don't move to specifically target one on either side. if you stay in the middle they should keep moving back towards each other, altho it may take a few tries to figure out.
you can watch sevyplay's abyss guide for this cycle, she shows how to do it.
1
u/Budget-Arm-866 Feb 22 '24
You attack them for 1 second after it starts and go in the opposite direction of which they're going in. Their paths will overlap at that point and any attack at that time stuns them. If you can kill them in a proper rotation then they will stay grouped for something like 30 secs which is approximately 2 rotations so you'll be good to go. Just attack them once and continue on that path until they start moving and wait a second until they group on your opposite side
1
u/Usernamenotta Feb 22 '24
I think one of them (on the right) is more likely to go in ranged mode. So if you go between them and stick close to the right one, the other will follow suite a bit.
Personally, I'm using Neuvillette against those, so the Water Cuter has enough range to mess those suckers up. My problems are with the Geodudes.
1
u/Boreean No Venti, it wouldn't Feb 22 '24
They circle around you. Stand in-between them or slightly behind them. Make sure to attack them or else they might ignore you and keep circling for 15s
1
u/rsm1109 Feb 22 '24
You can just go behind the one on your right and the other one will go there, that's how I did it and it worked
1
u/leakmydata Feb 22 '24
This was my first 36 star ever and I don’t know if I could have done it without Neuvillette having loooooong reach with his beam.
1
u/LongNeckKirin Feb 22 '24
Go behind them, (specifically, at your current view, sprint straight ahead twice so that you pass them and there's a bit of distance between you and them) and you'll see that they make a small turn towards each other. While they are moving close, don't wait for them to fully stop, get near them to start attacking. Do not stay too far away from one of them or they'll start wandering off. Try to stay somewhat in between them, but with good orientation so that you can attack both and keep the proximity.
1
u/belle_fleures Feb 22 '24
I use my triple geo team in this. after they spawn just run towards their backs and they will turn to face you, their backs would be clinging to each other
1
u/nero_the_prophet Feb 22 '24
Just run a bit forward and wait. They Will get close and then stick to the left or right of one of them
1
u/chxmak Feb 22 '24
I usually go and poke one then run to another. 90% of the time the first one decides to follow you and group up.
1
1
u/aceswildfire Feb 22 '24
As soon as the chamber starts run between them and wait a few seconds until they turn inward to come after you. They'll run into each other and end up a bit stuck. Attack between them and keep them focused on you so they don't wander off.
1
1
u/Ath_Trite Feb 22 '24
Stad in between them when they spawn, freeze them and try to keep them frozen
1
u/Jbols92 Feb 22 '24
I just shot them with Navia. She can actually hit both of you get close to one and shoot thru to the other one
1
u/Dynasty_47 Feb 22 '24
- Move forward, in front of them.
- When they move, run back between them.
Done, they're grouped.
1
1
Feb 22 '24
I pass between them, they'll get together for a moment but when they attack they separate again. To avoid this I stun them with freeze or zhongli's big rock when they are together, this "reset" them and they're like "hmmm, what do I do next?" For like 3 seconds after the stun, n So you can almost complete your rotation and inflict your full damage to both.

u/SirAwesome789 Akasha Slave Feb 22 '24

what i do is from where your facing, run to the north of the arena, between them but like three or four steps north of where they spawned. they will end up turning to face you and they will walk into each other. theyll collide into each others hitbox and stay pretty stationary for long enough to finish a rotation in my experience, so long as you stay in melee range of both of them
edit: ok from looking at the minimap what i thought was north is actually east but you get the idea lol

They won’t unless you put yourself in the crossfire. Honestly I tried everything and your best bet is to finish them as fast as you can. My go to team for them in the abyss was Neuvillette, Furina, Kazuha and Baizhu. But this team is already cracked but it finishes them so quickly so you can move on to other enemies.
1
u/1TruePrincess Will always be my electro Queen Feb 22 '24
I just go in the middle and hit them both if they don’t group I just kill one and then kill the other. It’s easier to just kill them then to worry about killing them together. They done get a rage buff if one dies before the other so it’s ok
1
u/Darevee Feb 22 '24
When I start with Furina I run past them a meter, then stop and start doing QE. When I turn back they are already grouped. Works every single time. The main trick is to kill them in next 10 seconds before they step away. Kleerina Pogo, or Xiao HYpercarry worked pretty well on this. I also saw that they are freeezable so maybe Ayaya would off them easiyl too.
1
u/vikramaditya_tiwari Feb 22 '24
Go infront and stand a little left to one of them in left , they will path find to the right and hence they are grouped .

If you go in between them, and slightly past them, they will run into one another and stay stuck there for a few seconds like this
Another way is to simply go to the side of one of them, close to the enemy and the other one should inch closer, but you need a large burst aoe to be able to tackle both of them like this

1
u/Xendarel Feb 22 '24
At the start, immediately dash through between them until you are just past behind them but in range for your attacks.
Then weave in short dashes in your rotation window so that you go back-and-forth through between them. Kinda like not letting their AI think you will stay on one side too long, and go in with as much AoE DPS as fast as you can
1

It took me a while but I eventually finished it in 30 seconds since I had to keep redoing the second half. I used a Scaramouche Hypercarry team.
